No 'chat' for three whole days?

I'm assuming some very nice aliens have abducted the club for medical experiments to ascertain how come this Subaru group are so good looking..!

Bugger, why did they leave me?

Someone needs to lay off the pop!

Still here, but can't see the point in posting for the sake of it. Unlike some

BTW, can I change my vote to option 3, the Lake District including Wrynose and Hardknott Pass.

It won't be an early night if we go all the way up there!!!

Will need to plan fuel stops (get it in before anyone else )

Something else I saw on the way up there last Friday...

I WANT IT!!!!!

Believe me, this was absolutely MINT. Fell in love with it when I drove past. Did a u-turn and took this pic. There was no-one about to have a chat to about it, but it looks like it's been a very obsessive restoration project. Stunning. These things were as rare as hell back in 1978. God knows how few remain.

A smitten Sticky

One of my all time faves was the RS 1600i

Just writing the words brings back warm & fuzzy feelings!

Incontinence is just one of the downfalls of being your age, don't worry about it!

Had an XR3i (I know it doesn't compare to the RS16) and would always have a MK2 rather than a MK3 (RWD fun )

At my age?

Being 31 means that incontinence will be some years away yet..

Classic...

Could see Arri at the wheel of that... looks a top restoration...

I once saw a very rare RS1700T in blue... totally original in a car dealer in linconshire somewhere, it was from South Africa... now that was a proper thing... RWD, mint.. was a bout 12 years ago... now that would have been a good buy i think...

As for the run...

Still not sure wether I'll be able to make this one , depending on work. I've been working and staying in Scarborough all week and it seems that they dont like us being home much, but I'll know more nearer the time.

Anyway, seeing as were all in the pic posting mood, I thought I'd show you what I've been building and operating this last week. The crane I built on the cliff edge was for a stunt sequence with a young girl falling over the edge. It was about an 80 ft drop

hope you like the pics

Maybe I do Al someone has to provide the catering

Steve, its a program called "The Royal" for ITV (Yorkshire) or YTV as it used to be known

Make sure you watch the new series later in the year, I didnt do episodes 1 & 2 though, so they'll not be as good as the rest

Phil

They (You?) were filming in Bradford at the Hospital last year when we were going for our pre-natal checkups. We had to be quiet so the scoob stayed at home

Can we start to form some definite plans for this, as it's only next week.

Which run's got the most votes?
Where's the meeting point?
Where are we stopping for a bite? (or are we just gonna find somewhere en-route?)

Option 1

Meet at 'The Bridge' @7pm then head South towards the LadyBower Pub. Enjoy some good food and ale with a jaunty drive along some quality roads taking in the views of Scoobs, Evo's, RS's, Audis & Ferraris doing what they do best...

Option 2

Meet North-West side of Leeds (tbd) @7pm for a similar drive North into the moors (Ilkley, Skipton etc..). Dave will have a route and stopover in mind right now, ready for publication...

The route may be based on the Sticky / Dazza DVD as seen in Chris's bedroom.. (not THAT one.. the driving one. The one with the Rabbits etc..)

Al & Katrina................ 1
Sticky....................... Either
HB............................ 1
Apple........................ 1 (preferably, hopefully am going)
Mick02WRX................. Either
CB & CG..................... Either (but I do like 2)
Nick ......................... Either
Ste........................... Either
Madgrip..................... Either

Possibles...

Ian........................... Either

Right, so we have 3 definites for Ladybower, and 6 (ish) 'either's. I would say that that's option 1 decided upon, unless we have any last minute changes.

So that's a trip to the Ladybower Inn in the Peaks, with the option of taking in some of the local roads either before or after dining.

Depart from the 'Bridge' car park at 7pm with the only route preference being that we avoid Stevechap Hairpin (or we all slow down for it and make sure there's no Focus's in the vicinity)

Dazza knows the roads round there too well (signs of a mis-spent youth) so I would nominate him to come up with a route to get us to the Ladybower Inn, if that's okay with him and everyone else.

For those who have not been before, the food is nothing short of superb, and if the weather's kind there's loads of outdoor seating / tables, so you can sit, eat, drink and watch some (usually) tasty motors and bike going past.

If anyone would like to go for a shortish (30 mins, or so) run into the peaks there are some fantastic roads to be found. This could perhaps be organised as a mini-run, with a view to meeting back with others at the Inn before returning home.

Just some suggestions to try and re-kindle some interest.

Over to you...

Oops, been letting my organisational duties slip, sorry. Been a bit busy sorting my house out for selling

OK, so we've decided on going south with a 7pm kick-off. I've opened a thread asking if any of the S.Yorks guys want to join us for a beer, and possibly guide us to some of the best routes for a little sprint. Hoping to have my new pads fitted by then, otherwise I'll be the one with the awful squealing noise (no other car I have ever owned does this) braking wimpishly early into every bend

CU all next week

To summarise (becuase he does go on a bit; Especially after a few pints! )

1. Depart from the 'Bridge' car park at 7pm (Convoy from the Holmfield at 6:30)

2. Dazza nominated to supply route to Ladybower Pub. Wait for stragllers and anyother joiners (we may eat at this point depending upon time/weather etc) before setting off on a 30 minute run.

3. Meet back at pub to reshape some bent bits, screw on some fallen off bits and have a cry/laugh over the evenings activities. We may eat at this point or justhave a shandy.

4. Head off back home for tea, medals & biscuits (old RAF saying) and to join loved ones who have missed us.

Hoorah for Sticky!

Attendees so far.
