Maybe if you'd trained it better then it would already be in a more considerate lifestyle anyway, which is not a dig at you just another way of justifying tighter controls over cats like there are with dogs.
Ahh a return to the cat training nonsense, was that covered on page 10? 12? 20? 32? 46? lol

no but it makes a noise every time he starts it and drives off or gets home and leaves it ticking over to protect the turbo and they don't like car noises (and thats before we even get onto the pollution). car noises are not an essential part of life. why should he have a car that impinges on their quality of life? Why isn't he considerate to their needs?

My cat doesn't make a racket at 8am whilst I'm trying to sleep

You aren't willing to take responsibility for that
This has nothing to do with ownership of cats... Unless of course you are keeping cats just to punish me for having a noisy car!?

Oh hear come the cat killers, typical. Olly, when will you realise this is the mentality of many people? Or perhaps Scooby poo is in the minority of morons who kill and maim domestic pets......

Why can't you come up with a decent response? Yuo keep trying to dodge the my question. Why won't you act responsibly towards your quiet cycle riding neighbours?
The only solution is that you should get rid of your car or never use it.
Do you accept this responsibility?

Thats the answer people,we'll start the revolution now,if everyone thats ever had someone else's cat defecate in there garden went round to the owners and returned the favour then we'd make the news and Tory Blair would have to sit up and take notice.

Or not

I keep forgetting in this country you have to be a minority to have rights lol

Now watch the abuse roll in for that comment lol

No - I think the humane trapping is the route to be honest, catch the cat and let the owner find out where it is (cattery, RSPCA etc) and recover it from there. I work during the day, I am asleep at night, I am not going to take time off work and sit for 24 hours a day by the window ready to photograph feline activity, just to keep you happy.

Does anybody know a source for humane cat traps?? I'll happiliy photo the catches for you though Jye

I'm not sure there is any other way I can help you comprehend the fact that we are debating owners taking responsibility for their cats actions in this thread. It has nothing to do with car ownership.

I'm sorry if you really can't understand what I am trying to tell you, but what you are doing looks like deliberate and desperate attempts to pull us away from the issue in hand.

Thats fine Scooby Roo, may you then 'assume' someone will RTM your purile comments that bring nothing to the debate. I'm very relaxed btw as I'm sure a few more 'opinions' like yours will put this sad thread out its misery.

In fact, just go for it Scooby Roo, tell us how many other ways you can think of to kill domestic pets. Were all splitting our sides are you humour btw, so keep em coming m8.

juan is right, well i think i have got your point this time its not just cats & their owners who have to take responsibility, its everything in life. a noisy car, someone cutting you up, a neibours tree they cut down which they are intitled to do but will ruin your view, someones pants on the washingline you could do without having to look at when your sunbathing & you can see it wofting in the breeze....

I have said that when my cycling neighbour complains about the noise my car makes, I will be happy to seek a compromise with them. If that means I need to park my car further from their house so as not to disturb them then so be it.

As long as they are prepare to put lights on their bike at night and stop the noise of the chain clanking and the Whirring noise their tyres make on the road. Yes smilies!!!

But seriously if my car or the way I drive my car was causing my neighbours concern and they brought it to my attention then I would seek to improve the situation. That's just common decency.

2. --edited to avoid potential further offence--

Benefits

For 1. You will have to clear up all the cat sh*t.
For 2. You wouldn't have to deal with 1.

Another 50 pages please
Point 2 was totally uncalled for, even in jest.

I am usually at work then, the cats seem to save the noise to about 3am, and yes they make one hell of a racket thank you.

sure id be considerate with the whole car thing but its about the level of consideration for a particular concern. They all cant be addressed at the same level.

for a quick example :

im expecting to find none of you cutting me up when leaving the motorway at the 1 chevron mark and making me break hard!....

Yes and I have responded to them accordingly that their response was totally uncalled for. I repeat again that I do not condone the torture, killing or other mistreatement of cats or any other animal come to that.

I think a lot of the agression has come about because there is nothing that people can do about cats. They are very difficult to identify, and taking a picture still won't tell you who the owner is, nor will catching the cat for those who don't put collars or visible id on. This fustration has lead some people to take action in to their own hands above and beyond the basic common sense harmless options that have been discussed. It is the "vigilante" element, people get tired of nothing being done and react. Again I am not condoning it, but I do understand it.
