Still not got an e-mail from mytyres as yet. I will give them a call later on today when I get a spare 5 mins.

Those prices arent too bad, however, delivery to Scotland would probably be an extra tenner!!

Cheers,
Grant

im still interested....but the prices quoted were well overpriced - especially for a group buy of this size!

Right got a phone call from the Manager at mytyres.net today, he told me that if I wanted to set-up a constant discount scheme for the "Car Club" then that wouldnt be a problem.

He explained that it would work the following way:

- Place an order as normal with mytyres and get your confirmation order number
- E-Mail this order number to him, and he will reduce the overall total by 3% and return your e-mail with the confirmation code.

However, I thought to place an order, you would have to pay up front?? I have his e-mail address, and will be e-mailing him my order number tomorrow at some point, probably AM as I am desperate for tyres.

If you can post up any questions you would like me to ask him tomorrow then that would be great...

Whats everyone's initial reaction to this anyway??

Would I need to talk to the "Webmaster" before doing anything like this on behalf of Scoobynet?!

Cheers,
Grant

sounds like progress, however 3% on a £100 tyre is £3 which isnt *that* much to be honest for what could be £3k of turnover for him, however for a constant rolling discount for Scoobynet members it might do the trick as MyTyres are already the cheapest around.

Nothing more to report I'm afraid..

I asked if there was the possibility of increasing the discount due to the size of Scoobynet, but he said that 3% is all that he can offer due to the fact that they are the cheapest around for 90% of the time.

I have his e-mail address at work, I'll PM you with it on Monday mate. I can also post it up here for everyone who wants to take advantage of this discount.

Sorry that it wasnt more, but I did try!!

Cheers,
Grant

Why don't you try Johnson Tyres @ Wrexham, just as an example I was quoted £107.00 all in for 225/40/18 Goodyear GSD3's.

I eventually got mine from Eden Tyre Services at Derby for about the same price.

I'm sure this was much cheaper than blackcircles and mytyre
