Friends, will I miss it? will i f***

What a pile of rubbish. I dont see the enjoyment of watching several wallies ponce about, especially when they are paid $1 million an episode.

Coupling is much better.

he was getting a little too 'emotional' by the end of it but did manage to fool the judges.

Friends is the only American 'comedy' i can cope with. Its just American 'humour' i dont get & well neither do they tbh

Coupling is class well British humour in general...

I'll be turning on once Friends has finished. Wish it was on E4 so I didn't have to stay up late to watch BB!

Friends is OK, bit lowbrow for me.. Each to their own, eh!
I think Seinfeld is MILES funnier personally, as is Curb Your Enthusiasm (Series one out on DVD, recommend it!).

The complete Seinfeld may be on DVD by the end of the year BTW.

each to their own, you either like it or dont, no one is wrong its just your opinion. I will say however, i'll reply the same as some replies i get....dont like dont watch it

I dont understand tho if you dont like one thing you wont watch the whole channel period but thats tv scheduling for you, no films at all or just because one channel has a good film all the others do so you cant watch/video them all and this 'either youre a bbc person or a itv person' 'radio 1 or capital'. I just watch/listen to anything that appeals.Loyalty??? b0llocks

What like soap operas, The Sun, Ford Escorts, package holidays to Spain and no doubt f**king football - you can keep your real world thank you!

Luckily for me I like to make my own mind up about things rather than follow the crowd and as such I like my TV to be a little more intellectually stimulating than programmes like Friends!!!

fair point, the lack of mental stimuli does let Friends down...maybe a test at the end would help?

It will be assumed that anyone not on here at 22:00 prompt is watching Big Brother and will be mercilessly berated accordingly!

Can somebody name a cerebral comedy series?

Friends is brilliantly written. Just consider the number of jokes there are in each episode, they keep setting them up and firing them out. Courtney *** in particular has amazing comedy timing as does David Schwimmer.

Just watching a load of episodes on E4 now while waiting for my tea to cook and there are classic lines in every scene.

Have to agree Rev - its easy on the eye (hmmmm Rachel) and easy on the ear.
I tried to hate friends I really did - but after 5 years of biggoted hatred I came round in the end.
Cant say I follow the whole story thing - not ar$ed who's dating who etc - its just bloody funny.

On the subject of other quality comedies - isnt the longest running one now Last Of The Summer Wine? Ooops of he goes down the hill in a bath, nay a big tyre, nay a carpet role, nay a barrell, nay a bike with no brakes...

It will never be beaten - god bless Sunday evenings zzzzzzz
