Tench & trout in the pond, I plan to get them ( the fish ) in this Summer, and fatten em' up for next Summer - the trout of course, BBQ'ed Tench is not that nice

What are you going to use for filtration and whats the capacity of the pond?

 

Tis a mere tiddler, about 3.2M3.

Filtration, maybe a Hozelock Bioforce 4500 with a pump to shift 6M3 per hour. I am thinking of 2 x smaller UV/Filters in parralell to help with cleaning, bypass and all that jazz.

Ah, mj that's coming along nicely, mate. The pond is an impressive structure. Good to see the missus working hard to gets things finished.

You are a bit further down the line than I am. I've had to start with a fully overgrown jungle and tame it from scratch (removing trees and stumps and tons of unwanted top soil, hardcore, etc). I'm currently in the process of putting in the patio and some raised beds to give it some structure. Got the tomatoes in today as well, and the first of the newly planted Glads has broke the surface. I'll get some pics up later if I can get around to it.

So, it looks like old WACKO NACO has finally reached the last chance saloon. LOL.

Ah well, time to get the beers in, in preparation for Top Gear.

UB, beers are indeed in (me), my Fiat Coupe is now chipped, the boost has been turned up a bit and it now scares me royally, curry on order, kids on way to bed, ready for TG.

MJ Lovely garden mate, thats an inspiration, have been mithering the missus to let me build a pond but she is worried kids will fall in, perfect solution. My garden is 110 feet long and crying out for a water feature (in a non Charlie Dimmock bucket and pebbles way)
