you'd have to take that one up with Trev@ straightliners, but to be honest its not really on, there is a set charge for the day.
i actually had been given the wrong info, in that i was told it was £40 all in, for the day, it is actually £45 being charged, as was found sunday, which includes the set £7.50 per person entry fee. this is the price for rwyb there in future. scoobyshootout is £40 all in incl the entry ticket for those who have prepaid to race, £10 per spectator for anyone coming along, kids are free.
anyone coming to pay on the day to take up the last few spare places will be charged £45, first come basis, as the cheaper price only applied to pre booked/paid places for scoobyshootout. still time uptil the 19th if others are interested in running that day.

saying that, with the amount of runs available, plus the top speed trap, and the (usually) limited queuing, its good value for money at the elvington events, when you compare to the surface and queueing at other venues.

the guy with the plane btw has been given a Bollocking and wont be back to interrupt proceedings, very unfortunate that delay.

i have the full results if someone would like to host them, should also be up on straightliners site shortly if not already
cheers
chris

seeing as the 3 rwyb days all lost money due to the low turn out overall on the day, plus the annual increase in airfield hire and insurance costs for timed events, then you have to expect an increase to cover costs, otherwise there wont be any rwyb car events unfortunately.

the timing of both 1/4m and top speed, with less queuing and more runs than any other rwyb days adds up to a reasonable charge for the day i believe. what other motorsport event can you run at for £45 for a full day, with timing and support facilities?
