Exclamation The risks you take

Guys,

I have been with L&V for a couple of months and the girlfriend just a month. Both cars are modified and L&V know "EVERYTHING" that has been modded on the cars. Why would you even give the insurance companies ANY wiggle room at all?
If for example you have fitted a short shift and NOT told them, they are perfectly within there rights as "money taking scumbags" to say, sorry sir, we note from our records that you have modified the vehicle and not informed us.

Jesus guys, these cars are our pride and joy, they cost us a small fortune in every direction so why even risk the smallest of chances for them to say no, we're not paying out. It is utter madness.

BTW I have had insurance for a while now and post code is one of the biggest load factors of premiums.

My car : MY03 STI Type UK PPP, 5" H&S Exhaust, 18" Prodrive Alloys, Prodrive panel filters. L&V £1,023 - 37yrs 5yrs NCD 3 Points SP30

Hers : BMW E36 318is Coupe, 17" Motorsport M series alloys, Front and rear M sport spoilers, Twin STW Scorpion exhaust. L&V £530 - 28yrs 4yrs NCD 3 Points SP30

Both live in a S44 Postcode hence the hike. As a side note, I actually rang them the other day to inform them that I had "removed" the WRC decals from the scooby!

Don't risk not telling them guys, I so don't want to read it on here that you had a bang and now the Basta*** won't pay out because of mods on the vehicle. Way too much to risk .... listen to your dad

Lets be carefull out there ... wheelie_sti

PS: Did you know that if your insurance company tries to take the p1ss with ramping up your insurance premium by £100 because of an SP30 you can report them to the DVLA? Good luck Tesco you pr1cks!

Rant over ..

Steve,
Definately a bit worrying for sure, Daren has got lots of mods on his car and was told when he took out the policy that as long as he had photos of the mods to prove they are on the car incase of a claim then he would be ok. He hasnt read this thread yet but Will make sure he does this evening when he gets home.
Tams
Exactly what i was told when i took out my policy, and guess what needed to make a claim last month, they came they saw they ok'd

hey presto, didn't even flinch at my 18 OZ's or my Blitz zorst or STI5 spoiler or my rally graphics
