We will not only have the Market Sq but a large part of the High St, plus a car park with a capacity of 150!

The Square will also contain a bouncy castle, burger van, ? local Scooby dealer, etc. but there will be room for say 15 of the best Scoobs there. As to who gets pride of place in the Sq. - well, I'm open to bribes!

It's better this way - half the town will be filled and it'll look great!

How is this supposed to be 'southern big one' if we are going to be dotted around in different carparks/locations!

 

Oh dear oh dear calm down. The Market square is small yes but the car park in question is 5ft from the square you wont have far to walk i promise. Also there will be parking on a road about 15ft from the square if needs be. We will all be in same area but as Vern said the square is small as all the pubs are there best get there early.

 

It'll be like the urban version of Bolney!

I live locally and can confirm that there is a large car park next to the square - Alton is only a small market town - there's a nice park next to the car park as well for those who will be bringing along their ankle biters.

I assume that the car park will be reserved for the Scoobs though - can't be having any of this mixed parking malarkey

Condition of allowing us to close the car park is that we still allow residents of flats around the Sq. to park there. Mostly old peoples' flats so shouldn't be a problem.

I'll need some marshals on the day though. We have a French Market in the High St next Sunday and before we open the road again, I'm going to estimate how mnany Scoobs I think we can get in the Market Sq. and High St.

 

Vern - this is sounding exciting!! Would Marshall, but I probably won't be able to be there until mid-afternoon...

any other volunteers? Hants Scoobs? I can get hold of about 6 hi-vis waistcoats.

why not charge each attending scoob a £1 parking fee...
