i used an fp64u min/max temp module with a temp probe runs of a 1.5v batt has 1 sec sample rate and will sound a buzzer or light an led if u want does a few other things aswell total cost was £7

 

Wideboyuk, the probe is pushed under the i/c hose, and angled into the airstream between the i/c and the throttlebody....the main issue with this method is making sure that the hose is still airtight, struggled with this for a while, but got it sussed now!
stevey, £7, that sounds like a cheap fix, wish mine had cost that.
