Oh and how gracious of the militant muslims to not want to blow British peeps with their organisation but they werent against other non British terrorists coming over here and doing the deed- If it wasnt meant to be serious I would have rated it as a top comedy program........

I think "British" people tend to get a bit offended these days when you can go into an area of most cities now and feel in the minority. I have no problem with any colour. I do however think that anyone living in Britain should fit in with the British culture and not try and setup their country in our country.

Totally agree. And I wish the Brits living here in Portugal wouldn't demand information in English from the local authorities, wish that the shopkeepers would learn English, complain about the Portuguese all the time, ask for egg and chips at the cafes, and make a similar effort to fit in.

The aspects that people complain about non-Brits in the UK are also quite common when Brits go abroad, I can tell you. How many Brits going to Saudi Arabia for massive wonga are happy to do without alcohol for 3 years?

I think multi-culturism can work and indeed is beneficial to the host culture up to a certain point. You Britishers are being loving the delicious juicy curries are you not?

Question is where to draw the line? Where I live a local secondary school Head decided it would be a good idea to make Turkish compulsory for all students because a minority of students were from that background. Un-fking-believable, but actually the Dutch central Govt couldn't even stop them from doing this, but did threaten to review their funding the following year. The idea was quickly dropped of course.

Multi-culturalism works but limits need to be set. If the immigrants are doing something that fundamentally contradicts the local culture, then they need to be stopped. Burn the flag and go to jail (and hopefully get a good beating there too).

Wet liberals who advocate tolerance of everything are causing a backlash that benefits extremeists such as the BNP. All very much IMHO of course

Must admit it's true, us Brits are as bad as any others...

My family have just bought some accomodation in Spain, I tagged along on some of the visits to some of the places and noticed that their are colonies of Brits such as Torrevieja (all flippin' Arsenal fans too ) which are very similar to the little Indias and Chinas we get in this country.

For the record we were after somewhere AWAY from the Brits - that's the whole point of moving....last thing we want is some loud mouth Arsenal fan living next door to me in Spain

Unfortunately my French is better than my Spanish, which is not saying much - but at least I'm learning it, which says alot more for some people in this country (UK - before we get mixed up ).

What gets me is that the Government harps on that it needs immigration to fill all the job vacancies. What gets me though is what appears to be the severe lack of jobs for the people already in this country. To me it seems as an excuse to provide the large non-UK corperations which are based in the UK with a cheap labour force.

Then you are a British Citizen to be a pedant. Britain is not however, a country, it is a group of countries. Personally I am English as that is where I was bourn. You can be bourn in outer Mongolia for all I care, that would just make you Outer Mongolian and a British Citizen.

Immigration plays a big part with everyones gripes, there is a flaw in the policy.

If you are an immigrant in this country, there should be a list of things you need to do to stay, maybe something on the lines of, in 6 months you will be able to speak english, have full time employment and be able to support yourselves.

No way in the world should the british men that went off to fight against the US and UK should they be allowed back, that is treason still punishable by the death penalty.

This is all imho, I do not see myself as a racist at all.

Why do you think it should be allowed in Britain? If People from other parts of the world want to live here, have the decency to live as the brits do and stop making ridiculous demands.

I don't have a problem with any political party, BNP, Sein Fein, Extremist Muslim or any other religion if you like, I do have a problem with Al Quaeda, the IRA and the other behind the scenes organisations that try and force things by violent means. If you want to express your views (whatever they may be) and put yourself up for office then if the public support you fine, if they don't fine, but don't put the threat of violence out there.

How about the many documented cases of **** being posted through the doors of non-white families, desecration of jewish graves, attacks on mosques and the many attacks on people in the street whos only crime was to be the wrong colour/sexual orientation or holding the 'wrong' beliefs.

The BNP supports all these activities by the backdoor if not openly, as evidenced by the criminal records of many of their activists.
