I have fitted rally style mudflaps to my P1 as I live on an unmade road and previously had all sorts of ****(literally)thrown down the side of the car. It has stopped most of the mess and may well help with your brake dust problem.
The flaps can be obtained from Demon Tweeks and are made from diaprene, a type of flexible rubber. They come in rectangular sheets and need to be cut to shape but are relativley easy to fit.
Hope this helps

Hi Nige.

Rally style mudflaps are not for me, though thanks for your consideration.

Russell,

Spoke to my dealer today and got some joy from them. New disks and DS2000 pads being fitted under warranty next week. They will also valet the entire car and return the wheels and body paintwork back to it's original condition. If the wheels can't be restored, although I think they can, then it's the replacement route for them.

Many thanks for everyone's help.

Yet another triumph for Scoobynet.

Regards
Kurt

Cool

I have EBC disks and Mintex 1155 pads, and I get exactly the same problem, after 2 weeks I have to scrub like heck to get the dust/**** off my wheels. The wheels are brand new so I have never used a cleaner, only soap and water, so the cleaner theory is pants. I think that the dust is burning into the laquer.

Things took a turn in the wrong direction today at my dealer.

The new DS2000 pads & disks had arrived so I went along to have them fitted. At the same time, they were going to clean the car.

When the replacement disks were offered up, they were the wrong ones - too small. After I had waited for 1 hour already that is.

Then they washed the car........

The front wheels looked like they had never been touched, just jetwashed and the crap up the side of the car was still there.

Needless to say, It's going back next week. This time they can collect it.
