Al
Bro is called Daniel, or Danny/Dan everyday!!
Dan The Man on a footy pitch
He'll laugh when he reads, he'll get all embarrassed....
Hey CB, don't trust HB and those curry nights.... Not enough curry, far too much to drink, and a 2 day hang over usually follows.... LOL
Only kidding Chris!! But you know that anyway!!
Simon
PS. Really hoping to be there this Thursday, I am on call though, and Thursdays are usually s/w maintenance days, so won't know until a bit nearer the time. As it stands now though, me and Dan will be along..

Incidently....
Dan still lives with my mum over at Ferrybridge, if one of you Ponte (ish) lads fancy having a passenger in the convoy over, I am sure he'd love to jump in.
Otherwise, he'll have the 33 mile drive to my house in his 1ltr Corsa and a 3 miles convoyless drive in the Scoob....
Just a thought, if anyone can help, if not no problem...
Cheers

Well - just come back from an 'activity morning' with the Porsche Cayenne. What a bl**dy awesome vehicle. Mud, ditches, impossible slopes - and a racetrack thrown in - and that's just the car park.
The instructors don't care that they're hooning around in £50ks worth of kit. And neither did I....
Max Fun!!!

Three questions.
1. How the hell did to warngle that!!??
2. Can you get me on one?
3. Can you get the club a paying day out?
My Landrover day was also an experience not to be forgotten. But his seems to be premier league stuff

my edit facility seems to have dissappeared.
anyway, this is the message I got from the hosts of the forum
"We are currently performing a network upgrade, as a result some sites might be inaccessible. We are moving our servers to a different data center connected to multiple OC48 backbones. This would make our network significantly faster, because we will be connected directly to the backbone of the Internet. We appreciate your patience during this network upgrade."

Al - no rocket science Mate. Went into Porsche Newcastle a few weeks ago (bit far to travel on spec, but had an appointment up there anyway!). Sat in a Cayenne V8. Asked for a brochure (they give you a 200 page hardback book!!).
Sales guy offered me a couple of places on the activity day. Took my dad! Gotta say, that adaptive air suspension is incredible. The V6 is a nice motor, but the V8 is simply stunning.
Imagine a Range Rover with the agility, performance, braking and body control of a WRX, and you're on the nose! Oh, and the six speed auto with tiptronic is a work of art. Gotta have one!
The slalom with the 'bus stop' is not to be missed. Neither is barrelling down that airfield at 120 in the V8. Nor, come to mention it, is the mud filled, rutted 1 in 2 asscent on road tyres (P Zero Rossos - 19") when you have to stop half way up, then let the car finish the job off automatically....
Whatever, get into a Porker dealers this weekend, feign interest in one, and invite yourself. You'll be blown away with how marvellous the thing is.....
Our instructor said that a new Rangie owner that he took on the slalom nearly sh*t himself last week, 'cos if he's been in the RR it would have up-ended. I can believe it.... That bl**dy Porsche has to be the best overall vehicle in the real world. No kiddin'!!

OK. That's on my RADAR for this year!
Might not go down so well if 17 of us turn up all looking to buy a V8, and blagging an activity day
Well done anyway mate, I'm impressed...

I'm still on for tomorrow and Tom (Rum) should be coming as well.
I've tried Emailing MadGrip to no avail...
Corradoboy/MadGrip/Anyone else - do you want to meet with Tom and myself in Leeds somewhere 6:30pm and then go on to the Holmfield Arms or just meet at the Holmfield Arms for 7?

Tom, Rich and myself are meeting at 5:50 near Kirkstall Abbey to go meet Madgrip up at the Showcase for 6:15pm.
If anyone else North-ish side of Leeds wants to tie up - just let us know...

I'll try to make it to Showcase for 6.15, but CG is working 'til 6ish so it might be that we just go straight to the Bridge.
This "Tom" that's coming, is he the Tom from Buckles who does Subaru insurance?
CU, CB & CG.
