Yeah

Its a real shame that quite a few people didnt turn up - and its fairly embarassing that the organiser has to put up with this situation.......... - what happened to Pavlo - didnt see Paul there in the afternoon?

Next time I'll be hoping for a slightly larger power number!!!

Thanks for the run on the day

Did anyone else compare there numbers to previous - because they were down - but for me this was exactly what happened in the morning at Powerstation - so it must have been pressure/temp differences!!

I agree that the organiser shouldn't have to put up with either, phil had a call from Janey to say she had problems with the wagon which was the only call he had from a person with the decency, but for the others there is no excuse especially when he tried ringing and their mobiles went straight to voicemail, how very convenient one asks

Fangoria my power was down also, was expecting at least 550 but could only make a poultry 269 (in my dreams)

Sorry I never made it guys, felt rough as anything Friday evening and saturday until early evening by which time it was too late to get there.

I caught my 6 month old son's stomach bug that he's had for best part of a week now, and going anywhere out of sight of a toilet was a definite non-starter yesterday

Will definitely be up for coming next G-Force day though. Already run there once, and want to see what difference my PPP ECU has made, with the 5-6psi extra boost it is now running , it certainly feels much livelier on the road with 15-16 psi boost (held) rather than the 10-11 psi it was showing on the boost gauge before.

G-Force are my obvious preference as they will be able to overlay the two runs on a common graph for me.

And BTW I did let drumsterphil know in advance (on Fri evening) as soon as I went down with it, and asked him to bump me to the end of the run list in case I recovered enough and managed to get there.

Scratch - I am aware that you were not of the best of health and comments are not necessarily aimed at yourself - it is more the likes of those that put there names on the list and yet I did not receive any form of msg to say they would not be attending.

If I was to run an RR day again then I would certainly do things differently (R.B. thanks for the advice ) and it was fortunate that Chris was very understanding and padded things out a bit.

I am still pleased about the day and must say it was a pleasure to meet everyone that attended (although following comments about power being down on usual I will be going back again to run at some stage once I tweak a few things).

phil, IF we run another one then i think deposits would be a more secure way of attendance and peoplewanting to pull out WILL contact us to get the deposit back

with respect to rb5 286, im not sure thats the way to go either. people like me who DID attend, maybe wouldnt attend if that was the case. I hate having to send letters, cheques etc, it just wouldnt happen. so I would now miss the next one even though I`ve attended the last two, if you see what I mean. naming and shaming is the way to go, or...............hang `em

I'd agree with cliff, I don't think deposits are the way to go, but perhaps a form of name and shame as a blacklist of no show'ers (without a genuine reason or having made contact etc) so that they have great difficulty is getting on subsequent events ?

To be fair, looking at the run list it was never as big as the last one at the end of January - maybe that was the problem ? Just too soon ? I think that one had 30 runners and about 8-10 reserves, and managed to actually have 30 runners in the end from the near 40 that signed up.

Lets face facts, there are so many factors that it is inevitable that there will be some people pull out at the last minute for genuine reasons (such as myself - how could I predict having the squits?) or have last minute technical difficulties that mean they are immobile or otherwise not running well.

I'm not sticking up for the people who didn't show, just trying to point out that there are always other things that can happen that take may priority or otherwise prevent people with genuine intensions from honouring them.

Just few thoughts. . .

Whether a RR day was run in January or not is immaterial in this instance - if you add your name to a list then you have indicated that you are going to attend!

I don't particularly wish to focus on the non-attendees issue anymore as I enjoyed yesterday and do not wish to put a dampener on what I consider to a be a fun and informative day.

Personally, though, I would have considered it only polite to have offered some form of apology or explanation for not attending, but then that''s just me!

My apologies for not attending. Firstly the car wasn't ready, and secondly I had convinced myself it was on the sunday as the G-Force days usually are. I don't check on SN every 5 mins like some of you, and this weekend I was also without net access. As it happens this is my first opertunity to post since thursday.

I was at G-Force at 8.30am on sunday, does that count? A sausage and egg sandwich and mountain bike ride around Chequers was good enough for me though.

I think the people who didnt show at a previous RRD who would like to attend the next RRD should pay a deposit and all the peeps who turned as per putting themselves on the list can pay on the day

Was good to meet you Phil/Andy

Despite all your persuasion, i resisted going on the rollers (car is std) and the £30 is going towards the scooby sound track.

However, it was a good day.

Good chat with Chris about the Stage2a upgrade for my car and i think i'm gonna start saving for it.
