Dick - yes, you can attend but you will have to run last at present so that means a long day I'm afraid.

G-Force do a quick talk at the start of the day telling you about the facilities, how they run the cars etc It's useful to alay the fears of those who've never run their car on a dyno before as it can come as a bit of a shock seeing it done!

Phill, Is it mandatory that a virgin has to go to the briefing? I have found I am on a night shift friday night now which ends at 8am saturday morning, and as I am south Oxfordshire, I dont think I will make it for the briefing.

If it is ok to miss it, I guess there would be others around that could give me info if I ask.

I've been to a few RR sessions and never attended a talk - I'd have thought that it's really more for you to understand what they are going to do, if you're happy to trust them to just get on with it in a professional manner, and all the times I've been to G-Force before they have done exactly that, then there is probably no need to be there from the start as long as you arrive plenty in advance of your running time.

I certainly don't intend to be there from 9:00-9:30, more like a hour or so before my run depending on what time I manage to leave the house which will be dependant on many factors including my wife and son

PS how can we add one more and still only have 26 ? What happened to RB5 286 ?

RB5286 has had to drop out - hence 26 runners.

With regard to the meeting I am simply passing on the request from Chris, but, as you say, as long as you turn up in plenty of time for the run then there should be no issues.

Strike another one as my friend Billy can't come now, he's got flu (that's a cold to women ) of all things so is currently wrapped up in bed and won't be able to make it.

Could I be moved a little later into his spot which would now be 14:00 as I'm coming but could do with it being a little later. 14:30 would probably be best for me to be honest if that is possible?

Well we been, and we conquered, exept one who was conquered
All went well, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, managed to put some new faces to names also, nice to meet you all

Alas, this Steve here has had a MAF sensor failure resulting in null runs and very lean running engine, but from what was seen, Chris reckoned to expect close to 250 bhp and at least over 240 bhp. It was 227.5 at 5500rpm during the diagnostics run, the first run of day was 234, and he said its normally about 12bhp higher on final run.

So apart from the sensor, I am happy with my results

So now to find a MAF at a good price

Well done and thanks Phil (driver) and Chris (g-force) for organising this.

Thanks for organising the day Phil!

My result was certainly 'interesting'

Apart from that it was good to meet up and put some names to faces.

Cheers for the spoon Andy! I shall be forwarding it on to the chaps at prodrive to see if they have anywhere they'd like to put it.

At least it can only get better.

Neil,

if it wasnt a company car and it was £1,600 of my own hard currency that i'd shelled out for an immense gain of 6.4 bhp over standard then i may be a little less understanding!

however as the car is still a pleasure to drive then i can afford to be a little philosophical.

i also think its a good idea that i try and contact the relavant parties concerned and see what advice they may have to offer.

cheers anyway, and it certainly wont stop me attending again as it was still an enjoyable day.
