Dawes AFR strangeness... *confused*

The Dawes AFRM Displays .78v to .90v in one red light rather than a few lights, so it just doesn't display as much info. (for a quicker reading).

Agree they're only as good as the sensor they're connected to.

so: lambda wasnt goosed after all..
and neither was the AFR faulty..
TSL sorted me out at v short notice, (Cheers Paul! )
* Rethreaded the o2 Sensor
*put me onto Deltadash to clearly see exactly what the lambda WAS doing (currently using the OE ECU btw)
Found a connection problem on the actual 02 sensor itself which was causing the Dawes to MisRead
All work done quickly with no aggro by Richard, FREE OF CHARGE!!!
Richard also checked my fuel pressure etc on DD and made sure the car is running ok.. its a little lean if anything @ idle, but its spot on @ WOT
reassuring to know it wont go bang on me.. Richard was amazed how well it was all running on the 550's with the bog standard AE802- ie the crap OE ECU) and it wasnt overly rich (despite smeling that way)
He did note that 0.79v (RED on Dawes AFR) was actually not that Lean.. and also that 0.87v (BRIGHT Blue on Dawes AFR) was not really that rich either!! LOL I guess the calibration of the Dawes reigns things in a bit for safety..

And the result of the new lambda...............sod all!
Still isn't sending the right signal to the ecu. Now on tickover it shows 0.15v and this doesn't move when blipping the throttle. We disconnected the signal wire from the loom and the lambda reads as it should but put it back together again and just get the same static reading. Very odd and slightly worrying.

So with the signal wire connected to the ECU (with the AFR gauge still connected), you're getting a static reading of 0.15v, and with the signal wire disconnected from the ECU (with the AFR gauge still connected), it's giving the correct readings...?
