I'd be up for some tuition, so I dont make an **** of myself. Happy to chip in.
Best way to BBQ is using disposable ones from SuperMarket. Once used just chuck em out. Work quite well.
Where is the venue exactly and what are the times. Looks like I have some way to come to get there.

supertouring, I'll pop you down for the tuition. For the location have a look on Rallydrive's site. It's near a village called Blyton just outside Gainsborough in north Lincolnshire.

I can get the missuse to pilot the video cam from a safe distance being "Preggy" and the Bin lid will do the photos! Orrr and she can make good sandwitches too...

Dazza's-STi & Kel1977 are on the list.
Dazza's-STi's missus(e) (typo?) is now doing the catering
If you're worried about your tyres, then don't go too mental for the whole day. The track is open all day and the rules are mostly up to us, so there is no pressure to get everything done in a short 20 minute blast. I intend doing a couple of warm ups, then alternating between fast and cool laps to preserve tyres and brakes. No-one will be racing, or overtaking, unless we all agree on a safe procedure.
Not many places left now. Get 'em while there hot.

I have to admit, I completely overlooked the helmet situation. I've sent Howard an email asking if we need them, and if we do, how many sweaty buckets has he got to lend us LOL.
I think it was a joke about Dazza's missus. I think I might try and get some disposable BBQ's and let everyone bring whatever they want to eat.

For once CG won't be there. I went all gung-ho and got this all aranged without consulting her diary, and she's working. I might bring my dad or my brother instead.
Any chance of a bit of competion as well on the day, something like a timed run through the cones or a small circuit...?
That would add a bit of fun don't you think... nothing too serious though...
Any thought son the helmet thing... what about passengers in the car>>>?

Dazza, if you've got a stopwatch then I can't see why we can't do some timed runs towards the end of the day when everyone's got used to the track. No racing though!
Howard hasn't got back to me yet on the helmet situation. I'll email him again. And ask about the passengers too, but I can't see that being a problem.

OK, just got word from Howard.
Passengers are OK, just have to sign in for legal reasons.
They have 12 helmets available, so with only 4 cars on track at a time and a few bringing their own, we should be well covered.
On the downside, Howard will not be there as he's working for the WRC in Mexico that w/e. He will be covered by Mike Reed giving tuition and supervision.

Just back from the Aus jungle isn't he? Or will we be playing Run-Around.
Just a point on timed runs. We (SMACS) did this at Curborough and ended up with some slightly bent cars due to over exuberance. I am not against the idea but suggest we be careful on how we do this to avoid any accidents.

Has a decision been made on use of the instruction time?
Is everyone wanting a session with him or just those who have expressed a preference?
I was keen to make this event a good learning experience so was after quite a bit of time with him, but was not sure what was arranged. Happy to put my hand in my pocket for the instruction time I have obviously.

Mike will be available for 4 hours split equally between those wanting him. At the moment that's just 4 people, so you should get plenty of time with him.

CB - Put my name on the list for the fun day, not sur if ill take to the track or not but its worth £20 just to watch and for the day.
Let me know if you still need any shelter, as i have got a decent size gazebo knocking about in the garage.

StickyMicky & mick02wrx, you're on the list.
Just 2 places left folks.
Mick, you might as well have a go if you're willing to pay. You don't have to go hell for leather (I won't be) as there is no pressure. The whole point of doing it so informally at a small semi-professional venue is to create an atmosphere of relaxed fun, rather than a testosterone fuelled accident waiting to happen. The gazebo would be helpful. You may as well bring it along. If it isn't blowing a gale it should be suitable, thanks
Now, where can we get a bouncy castle and a clown (seeing as Chris isn't coming)

I am going to have to miss the Convoy as it would mean going out of my way a quite a bit. What time are we all due at the circuit?
Looks like very few Shell stations in vacinity, not so good.
Managed to lay my hands on some spare wheels and tyres for the day, so should have some fun.
Really looking forward to it now.

Nick, you're on the list at no.16 as a spectator. But you can drive if you want. No pressure to go mental, just eo enjoy your car in whatever way you want to at minimal expense.
I planned the route to take us past Scunny, as that is the nearest SUL/Optimax outlet to the venue, thus allowing everyone to top-off their tanks before the start (and see where it is in case they need it later) and seemed to be the most direct fast road (Mway) route, but I am open to suggestions.
