Fenay Bridge Fun Day
Alan
Opted for the £25 package pretty much for the SShop savings, and the fact I have something in the for sale section that I was selling. Unfortunately, they made it FOC for the General for sale the day after I Purchased!!
I'll get my money' worth in savings this year though I am sure. I want wheels and tyres at some point this year, AP-6 pot brakes and, erm... who knows what else...
Andy Apple.... Cheeky..
Yep, my track pictures with standard springs. Almost on three wheels on two piccies...
As I am not into fancy finger nails, I have no idea what you mean by the way....
Alan again....
Yes, and I need the Prodrive spring kit...

OK Guys.. The new 'West Yorkshire Impreza Owners Club' web site is now up.
A big thanks to Maddy for the work he's put in. IMHO he's done a fantastic job and is something we can be pretty proud of.
At the moment only Maddy and I are members, it now needs all of you to visit the site and 'request' membership. You can visit as a 'guest' and look around regardless, but most of the interactive functionality will be disabled to you.
Some pointers first.. First off, the site has only Maddy's and my input on looks and functionality. This website is for us ALL, so feel free to comment. Maddy will make any changes that we feel are required.
Again, IMHO it needs nothing done. I very much like it's modern, easy, relaxed and clear interface. It even has a relaxed 'character' and a sense of humour.
Membership: Full membership is currently only for active visitors to 'The Bridge'. Full membership allows you to interact with the site, post car and personal details to personal areas as well as chat, add events and post news and reviews etc.... A gallery and other areas exists so that you can send Maddy your pictures for posting.
How to request membership: When you click on the link, there is a small triangle at the bottom right of the screen. Click on this and you will see a menu popup at the bottom.
Click on the 'Login To Site'
Click on the 'Create New Account'.
Fill in the Username, password and re-confirm password and Maddy and I will be sent an e-mail. We will grant membership and you will then have full functionality. The reason we wanted to keep it tight at this time is so that we only post for the member's benefit and tailored to suit us. We can broaden this in the near future if we think it necessary
To help with the running (which is nothing really, as long as we keep it simple) we are looking for 'Administrators' who can add users and stuff to the site (calendar mainly) and delete posts etc.. If you want to have this sort of participation let me or Maddy know. Off line if you wish.
Once your in, have a play with it and upload your details etc when you get granted access.
There are bound to be few snags as people come on board, so please be patient and let us know if there are problems and Maddy will sort them out.
Once we've had test run, whcih will give us plenty to talk about at the next meet, I'll post a seperate thread announcing our arrival on the web.
The link is.... http://www.wyioc.co.uk/ enjoy!

If I had remembered to turn the members polling option on (this stella artois is good stuff)
Well the good news is that it's now working as intended, which means if you had registered yesterday them simply log back on to the site, choose the white triangle in the bottom right-hand corner to pop the command bar up.
Ensure that you have logged in (you'll see your user name on the command bar if you have logged in correctly) then click on [join this site]. Alan and I hopefully will then receive a mail to which we can aprove membership.
If you didn’t register yesterday then follow Alan's instructions as there much easier.
Sorry about that guys
Any probs then let me know
Cheers
Maddy

Corrado Boy, could you please add me to the Rally day list. I've still got a bit of rubber left that needs melting before my new rims arrive.
Talking of which a peice of advice for anyone who has not been on a track day before and is worried about there tyres. If you drop the psi in road tyres you will get more movement in the tread pattern. They will heat up too much and that will eat into tyre wear. You’ll almost certainly ruin them without gaining any advantage in grip.
So the best thing to do is make sure you have the standard preasure, drive at a comftable pace it's not a race, and you'll still have bags of fun without the worry of a new set of rubber.
Cheers

ps, thanks for the piccies mate

Can I just add that on the way from BAWTRY to GAINSBOURGH (A631) there is a new 50MPH speed limit, and there are now speed cameras ALL the way. They are the ones that detect your average speed!!

Tony & Sticky, you're on. Nick, sorry you can't make it.
Well, we've made the magic 10. Still no suggestions about some sort of shelter or barbeque. I'll see if my mums gazebo thing can be used, but if anyone else has any ideas please field them.
How many might be interested in tuition from Howard? I know SteveChaps was, but is there anyone else wants to join him to split the $150 cost. I've had 3 sessions with him, so I'm not too bothered, but will join in to keep the costs down per individual if necessary.

I'd be interested in the tuition, cos I know nowt. I'd have thought everyone would have been up for it, must have some McRae's in attendance
Nick, sorry you can't make the day. I've been waiting for you popping round for a drink since you first said you would. Thinking of moving up to a Spec-C, or an (swearing alert) Evo8, or something with 300+. Any suggestions, anyone?
Quite fancy a Noble, but they're a tad too expensive at the moment, by about £15K, plus I've owned a V6 Mondingo before
Tough decision, but a nice dilemma to have!
