We still meeting up this evening in Pontefract?
I'll be in at McDonalds (opposite Pontefract racecourse), from 6:40 - 6:45pm tonight (classic white Type RA).
Catch you all later!

Don't worry Al. So long as you're not in any of the following:-
A Kenworth pullin' logs,
A Cab-over Pete with a reefer on,
Or even a Jimmy haulin' hogs......

I'll make me own way there thanks!
Windows up, heater on, radio five live playing softly in the background.. flat cap on.. pipe smoke blowing in the 30 mph breeze.. rear fogs on... front PIAA's on.... Recaros in full relax mode.. front offside wheel JUST over the centre line preventing anyone overtaking.. quickshift in slow shift..
33 MPH in a 30
44 MPH in a 40
55 MPH in a 50
87 in a 60... (then promptly disapear into a hedge on some black ice...)
Cool.
ps.. why have I got a craving to start looking at a Volvo?

LOL, who told you that. Leeds born & bred. I do sometimes go to Aysgarth though, and I would love my next home to be in the Dales, away from the rat-race.

Thanks all for a good night once again, and good food as always. Its good that the turn out is growing but it means that in between meals & drinks its getting harder to speak to everyone everytime. Looking forward to the track day ,should be a good day out

Nice.....ish?
Ta.
I'll take that compliment.
Did you spot the ding in the side of your car, right where my door would have been?
(Clue; look for the black paint)
Sticky.
(Thinking about changing the name to Evosticky)
Al..... I'll post some proofs for the stickers as soon as I get chance. Then we need to do a compulsory purchase of boot / window space on each attendee's vehicle. A pint ought to do it
Evosticky (like it!!)

Thanks to everyone making it another great evening. 16 Cars and a great convoy in..
It was a bit too cold to stand outside, but inside... the company was tops....
Evosticky... yeah.. that's what it should be... cracking motor mate... I don't want to see it parked out the way again...get it on full show... I never even got to sit in it... Next time... Post your designs here and we'll pass comment and judgement before selecting your best design... Thanks mate... very much appreciated.
Apple... THAT... was a bloody good run back! (not sure if you knew it was me?) Once that to$$er in the Fiesta RS Turbo got out the way (he was avin a go behind you, as you pulled away at every oppurtunity, with me up his backside... he was all over the road trying to stop me pass (riding the centre line to stop me passing up that three lane section was nice of him) so I was relieved when he doubled back on the roundabout... the second bit was superb.. nice to have you as a marker though! Cracking overtaking moves as well.. nice one..
I'm already looking forward to the 13th..
Dave will post some more details nearer the time for meeting time, places etc
With only 4 places left.. get your name down now.. spectators most welcome by the way..
Later!
Al.

Al,
Thought it might be you as it was a silver classic Your n/side headlight's a bit blinding tho'
Wondered about the prat in the middle - thought it might be a 106/206 at first due to the shape of the lights but it was probably one of the Kevin-type bad-boy bonnets.
I had thought that if someone was giving chase then I'd try to get as far in front as possible so that's why I was passing people as much as I could. I'd had the boost on song as we turned right into Wakey Rd and left you for a while but decided to potter past the merc on the bit of dual carriageway as it's a blackspot at that junction. Think that's one of the quickest take-offs I've done...
On the run after Grangemoor I think I'd got Aerosmith's "Crazy" cranked up a bit on the new stereo so the red mist / invincibility cloak was on down to Horbury Bridge. Te album I've got in is full of tracks for "on a mission" driving
Just the driving style needed for the potential road conditions (honest officer ) as there's an inch of snow here now...
Apple
PS1 - Not bad for a standard 'un with an unfavourable power-to-weight ratio
PS2 - There's a faint whiff of "eau de clutch" at the mo in the cabin - wonder how log that'll take to disappear?

Dazza... top blast home, could't believe you followed us all the way to 'that bridge' Oh, and if you got 70 out of it, mine must have been doing 71 (ish)
(Me, admit defeat, never.) [vincentprice]Ha ha ha, Ha ha haaa[/vincentprice]
Top evening all, much better for being able to sit with the 'crowd', but I'm with Phil on the 'not getting to speak to everyone' thing. Perhaps an alcoholics anonymous type stand up and introduce yourself bit. I'll go first. "I'm Sticky, and I drive an Evo" (ducks for cover to avoid flying garlic bread) Garlic????? Bread???? Hmm... perhaps not.
Hey ho, off to work now but I'm not too sure about the roads. 2" snow + new car = v. v. v. Sloooooowwwwwly. At first anyway.

At last look the Jeep didn't have one of 'them bonnets'
The cheek of it.

Phil,
On the drive down to Fenay Bridge did we catch a glimpse of a little flame coming out of the back of your car or was it the light catching it???
I meant to ask you once we'd all got parked up but it slipped my mind in the cold
Some very nice round about taking too, by you two guys in front of the Type RA
