The vertical pipe between the radiator cowling and engine front touches the cowling on mine, did you have any probs ? Also, I think that the N/S pipe (the one with the DV on it) is touching the underside of the bonnet, so I think I may need to loosen it and try to push it down a bit further at the front...
Ta,
Mark
PS _ Why did you need the red Samco hose ?

I have the same problem with the pipe touching the bonnet, I can't put it any lower because its touching the corner of the battery. I'm thinking of finding a battery that is not quite as tall and trying that.
The vertical pipe is very tight, but I had no real problems with it.
As for the holes in the wing, the pipe wanted to come through right between them both, hence the need to join them up.

After a few weeks running with the pipe touching the fan cowling I moved the fan over to the other side of the rad, it's an easy job and makes more room to get the pipe to the TB much lower and further from the battery / bonnet
The silicone hose from the last pipe to the TB will go on, it just needs some persuasion
I have lagged the pipe from the compressor all the way to the inner wing which has helped the temps in the filter considerably.
PIAAs will fit but require cutting of the foglamp backplates and I flattened the intercooler pipe a little also .

hmm - I can't move the rad - I've aircon, so 2 fans.. I've thought about lagging it, as I've already lagged the D/P....
PIAAs will have to fit soon, cos Jayne thinks it looks crap without them (2 big holes)...
what have 'you' (the royal) done regarding the TMIC scoop ? - I took the metal part off the underside of the bonnet - but now I'm concerned about water landing on a hot turbo, so may put it back on - at least its some protection (Though I'm going to remove the rubber skirt, as it touches the new pipework)

Have you thought of knocking these out,
If i had a standardish car available, i could probably make another template and then make copies from there.
Same with the battery cover on the opposite side. If you have a look, you'll see my oil filler cap comes out of the side of the engine and not the front and also my intercooler pipes run round the engine bay whereas the APS intercooler for example runs down the back of the engine and then forward to the front of the car.
Making the battery cover was a doddle. The air box needed a bit more work but now i know what's needed to be done, it should be quicker to make up others, (though not in 15mins though... )
Talking of battery covers, that pic shows the first version. The 2nd version covers the windscreen water tank as well now, so the cap to fill the tank with water pokes through a hole in the cover similar to the oil cap. Only reason for doing the second one was to make the car look *square* under bonnet, so both sides looked even. IYSWIM.

I wouldn't block the scoop off, it's a good source of cooling air for the turbo and IC pipework.
Try feeling the pipe to the TB after a hard blast, the section that sits under the scoop is a fair bit cooler than the section that runs over the engine.

I have taken my metal plate off all together so the air gets to the intercooler pipes even better, Had to brace the bonnet though between the scoop bolts with some nice aluminium (alloy Bonnet so seems to flex more), this definately helps with a little extra cooling, Even though i have not fitted a Hybrid FMIC, but is is definitely a HYBRID if you know what i mean
Dean
I did start a post about positive pressure from the scoop & had some good replies but as was said , loads of people run with the scoop in place / unblocked , so i would not worry

Thanks Dean - its been dry since I fitted the FMIC, so I wondered if anyone had any water issues with the metal plate removed -
Sounds like its OK though.
Cheers, Mark

What are you guys doing number plate wise ?
I'm considering fastening the plate to the upper face of the splitter - or sticking a white background there with new black letters (WRC style)....

What about this position?
A rear number plate support bracket was used on the front bumper.

As I said above I'm not putting mine back on, I'm keeping it in the car with sticky-pads on the back and if I get pulled I'll say it just fell off..............

Just out of interest, what turbo's do you all have ?
I'm still running the original TD04 through mine - together with the standard fuel setup and injectors - I've not noticed any additional lag and the low->mid range seem much better.
Was running 281 bhp at PE when they did the re-map, but I think that the TD04 will have run out of puff at around that ---- Time for a change, methinks....

I've been using a 75% size plate (in the same position as Alan's) for a couple of months now with no interest from the boys in blue.
I'm running mine with a f/e TD05, not sure about flywheel hp as the Prosport rollers seem to be a bit confused on the day I ran, but was 283ATW which compares well with the 289ATW in dataloglab on the road where the car holds a little more boost, getting close to my 300ATW target

hmm - I think I was a ambiguous there - to clarify, the remap was before the FMIC was fitted...
Andrew - am I correct in thinking that the td04 is f/e too then, as it seems to be the same (in direction) as your f/e td05 ?
