Won auction for key( dont ask how much its embarrassing!! ) will keep u informed as to transponder issue when it arrives hopefully within a few days

I was told when I picked up my 02 bugeye (UK) that the trandsponders on uk cars were disabled anyway. Thats why you got the blue subaru fob to disable the alarm/transponder. Something to do with the original being crap, so they fitted the better one with the keyfob. This was from a dealer. My key does nout anyway, to disarm the immobiliser/unlock door/alarm i just use the blue one.

I have a power FC so I think inbuilt immobiliser is defeated anyway ?

The key still operates the imobiliser just not the alarm hence the additional alarm fob.

Thats why when you have the PPP fitted they need both keys back to reprogram
