Been in /driven both (a scooby RA and a 911 turbo) and sorry to say the porssche wins hands down.

Ok, so the RA hits 60 in around 4.6, the porker does it in 4.2.

But my hearing much prefers the porker cruising at even 80 compared to the incessant drone of the scooby.

I suppose this is a case of personnel choice and circumstances.
Don`t take me the wrong way guy`s.
I can`t afford a porsche 911 and probably will never be able to but i can afford a Impreza. And i would certainly expect a 911 turbo to be much quicker as its 3.6 litres and 6 cylinder.
Basically the porsche is way out of my league so i`ll stick with the impreza. As for it being cheap then i wish i could afford a new imprezza let alone a new 911.

And does the difference in performance warrant the extra money. I know what i`d go for every time and it ain`t a 911 turbo.
You can't even make your own mind up, gimp.

We can't all afford 911's and if we could there probably wouldn't be many more about coz in my opinion they're fookin' horrible !! Now a Skyline - that's a different matter

I have a 993 turbo for the last 6 months, had a evo 7 before that.

The porker will do 60 in 4 seconds ish, as will a 300bhp evo/scooby, but the porker does 0-100mph in 8.8seconds - evo 7 around 12 - and the porker feels so much quicker.Be serious lads - a uk scooby has no chance against a 996 turbo - even down "the twisties in the wet".

Sad f*ckers 911 will spin as i have seen many a time (my workmate has one - come to dudley to see for yourself) and apart from that he just told of 1 experience with 1 911 and probably thought people could laugh about it with him as he knows it is normally unlikely!

Nothing to do with nova drivers bragging that they could eat imprezas

being as all 911s look about the same and you only saw him in the rear view how do you even know it was a turbo , even porsches can be made to look more than they are. This would explain the wheelspin and the slower acceleration.

About a year or so ago I had a play with a 911 turbo-private plate but I would say a 1993ish model? I was in my uk classic-as standard. The road was full twists and turns, but one I knew well.
I stayed with him up untill about 60mph and then the 911 took off and left me by at least 100+yards!
I couldnt belive how hard he had pushed his car and it ate every corner, like it wasnt there!
Since then I have become a huge 911 turbo fan.
However, sat at the lights-Impreza in 1st and your ready to go,I belive possible to beat one.Untill he relizes, your racing him!

gooner you are a pr*ck why dont you keep your opinion to your self instead of calling everyone on here about there impreza's when you say you dont even drive one?

Keep the internet for your kiddie **** and stay away from us!

At the end of the day the man said he beat a porsche.
Maybe in this instance he did and maybe it wont happen again but who cares, its just conversation between people interested in the same cars.

Me I like porsches, cool car stupid insurance!

P.s you sound really hard fancy meeting some one who is!!!

What point ?

I love both cars, but just cos you whooped somebody from the lights doesn't mean he was trying/ready/interested/good driver etc etc.

I raced a 996 Turbo from about 40ish right upto 140ish, he whooped me good and proper (STi PPP), now RA, STi, 22b, P1 ,Spec C, there aint a scoob out there that will keep up with a Turbo/GT2/3 unless it's highly modded, and even so it's still just an Impreza.

What gets up my nose is some people think that high performance ends with an Impreza, and then kid themselves they would take the scoob over a 911 ? madness.

Nova eaten by Renault 5 GT eaten by Sierra Cossy eaten by STi eaten by Evo eaten by Skyline eaten by 911 eaten by Lambo or whatever.

Ok so I have gone sensible and dumped the STi, would I have another for weekends if money allowed ? sure, would I have a 911 ? certainly, do I talk a load of bollocks with a few tins in me ? definately.
