Just had a 2.5 CDB with 14mm headstuds conversion built. Spent the last 6 days putting 1000 miles on all ready for mapping on Monday - pain in the *** running in but I guess the positive side is some nice pics on the journeys and the weather up North has been fantastic!

Built by Andy Kindon of A&S Motors in Chester Le Street, Co. Durham. Very well known and respected Subaru Specialist & engine builder in these parts.

Bob Rawle is mapping it Monday. Bob has always mapped my cars.

Thanks for the kind comments

Marieto,

I don't normally like body kits on classics but that does look very well indeed!

Thanks very much mate. I know it is marmite, especially for the Subaru purists, but I wanted something a little bit different than standard without being too OTT. To be honest I wasn't sure about it at all myself when I bought it, but it has grown on me.

Thank you for replying Mario.

Once your Type R is mapped could you please do a write up on your new engine.

I would love to know how you find the new 2.5 Engine set up.

Well my car was mapped today by Bob Rawle and it made a very healthy 474 bhp & 483 ft/lb of torque. It's an absolute animal for a road car to be honest and the torque from the 2.5 is absolutely lovely. Absolutely over the moon with the results and the quality of the engine build - but I knew that wasn't in doubt anyway as I have had an engine build from Andy before and know many many others who have done so as well.

Starting to look that way, the auction prices are certainly on the up as well. You don't seem to be able to get a decent low mileage V5/6 below £10k these days.
