Much love for Type R's

Here's one of my favourite Impreza's of all owned (one of many) on a very enjoyable outing a few days back

I have never found anything above 6.5k on a standard engine of any use as changing up before that usually gives more useable power.

Ah yes it is, it has a red inlet so that threw me.

Are these a good buy ? its on ebay !

Item 201113163445, had a chat with the owner he seems nice enough.

So im guessing it only being a WRX its not forged !

Update :-

Just had guy on phone again, its had an STI engine fitted, its got WRX intercooler still, has a VF28 Turbo, 6 previous owners, scattered Japanese and UK service history. He bought it from BOYSTOYS in High Wycombe.

Buy or steer clear ?

The only Type R that didnt have DCCD was the MY98 R V-Limited, made in Jan 98 and only in Blue, and being a V, had a roof vent.

I would suggest this has been made up from a shell, or the DCCD has gone wrong and its been stripped out.

Ask for a photo of the VIN, then check it on Type-ra.com

Yes candy red, had a set of 18" Work Emotion done in this colour it's sometime that I've been considering for a while now.
I appreciate they may not be everyone's fancy its a new twist for sure.
My Revolutions are still my no 1 choice though and I'll swap over from time to time
