Doesnt look much like a STi Type R, but it is. Version 4 STi Type R to be exact. This is my North American '99 Impreza 2.5RS (which comes stock with a 2.5L N/A). Stock engine generated a bad rod knock, so swapped it out for a STi Type R drivetrain, DCCD and all. This car is great fun. Im waiting on the ver.4 bumper and lip, along with painted sideskirts and a ver.5 wing. Should look a lot better after that.

^^^ I also have a short video clip of me destroying my friends field and getting my car all dirty. I might post it in a bit if I can re-size it.

^^^ Note all the paint chipped off the Intake Manifold , I want the red back!

I just threw in my Recaro driver seat (the North American stock Subaru seats suck), I will have some pics of that in a bit. It's nothing special, but definatly holds better then the stock one.

Haha, took a while with the pressure washer but it came off. The hard part was cleaning the underbody. But I had fun so it was completely worth it.

Here is a pic with my other Scooby, 2005 Legacy 2.5GT Sedan:

And here are pics of my Recaro installed. It was used when I bought it and I havent had a chance to clean it up yet. But you can see the difference between it and the stock one beside it.

Canuck,
Nice car mate. Mine was a Ver4, but I fitted Ver5 Bumper, which makes the car look newer. If you are going to have to change it anyway you might as well go the whole nine yards?

True, but in North America, the US 99-01 RS's came with ver.5 bumpers (Canada got stuck with this ugly thing). So I wanted a ver.4 bumper so that my car would still look nice, but would be exactly like all the other Impreza's here.

Does anyone know where to go for the rear quarter stickers for less than £46 each? Needs to be the white one's (not black) for a sonic blue type r. Also the fog light cover stickers. Car's finally out of the body shop and looks like new. Well chuffed! Only took 6 months to sort, 5 with the insurance company and 1 in the bodyshop. Will post a couple of pics once i've changed the brakes/sus/wheels before the engine comes out in prep for more horses.

They are 2 different cars. Type R and Type RA. You dont get a combination of the two.
