That's correct, Spec C air oil cooler
It's a V9 engine though, you can tell by the bend in the ic
my AVCS is not working yet, can't figure out what's wrong with the wiring

tranny is V9 Spec C also, everything came out of one car (using V3 RA DCCD controller with it)

I am surprised no one noticed the wheels! I had to convert from 114.5 back to 5x100

You're using a v3 DCCD controller on a v9 tranny? Where did you buy the motor from?

I didn't want to go through the hassle of integrating the auto function of dccd, so I just have it in the manual mode
V3-6 DCCD controllers are same, so it was a matter of finding one and wiring it

I got the driveline from a vendor in the states

I don't know

I will go back to it, once I have a chance to flare out the fenders and swap the track to GD length

im having a look at a 99 sti tommorrow with 55 k on the clock. im obviously dubious with many of these cars having rebuilds. is there anything i can look for or ask that may indicate the car is a gooden\baden, or should i get an expert to look, or is it a case of buy it, drive it and see what happens.

Erm, just the usual. Service history, vin number, engine number, clutch, braking, gearshift, whining turbo, smokey exhaust (blue), leaks under the bonnet and the road its parked on, loose suspension, pulling, reciepts of work/mods carried out...

If Doug doesnt need the passenger door, I'd be interested in it (assuming its a coupe door ) due to someone taking a dislike to mine

Cheers

Hey is this thread still going!

This has got to be a record on SN!

Has anyone set up the TypeR register/sub owners club yet? It would be nice to see all the Coupes organised at the national meets so that they park together in a sort of mini display.

Like the RB5's normally do.

Someone just needa to trall through this thread for PM/Email addresses and also a recent search on the 'Search tool'

Id do it myself, but haven't had mine for a year now. I like winning the RR shootouts, but I certainly miss the admiring looks

Cheers si but the cars out of the bodyshop in a week! Now the long process of fitting all the bits in the garage/2 sheds/spare bedroom starts, along with an engine rebuild for serious horses. Cant wait!
