But a large percentage of Scooby owners fit a Knock Link which is a separate Bosch sensor mounted to the block and a series of LEDS which give a visual indication of knock/pinking/det.
You can see mine on the left through the steering wheel, some people also custom fit these so to get rid of the black box
As Type R's are mapped for 100/102 fuel they can be more prone to det so a KL is essential IMHO.
As mentioned a good booster such as NF will help prevent this.
Have a look here http://www.nfeurope.com/stockists.htm
NF Race is the one you want, black bottle.
Just for reference here'sa link to controlling the DCCD

I'm still undecided whether to wait for a V6 Type R Limited or trade my car in for a nice clean and standard V5 Limited. Can anybody help me decide? I notice the roof vents are smaller on V6 Limited and you guys have already pointed out the main differences.

Jonathan

LOooovely type-R's - keep 'em coming - although i have to admit without the original stickers they do look a bit too plain for my liking - IMHO
V5's/V6's apart from the differences listed are pretty much the same but BOTH are pretty rare cars and not many available at all..
about £13k+
Cheers
Raf.

No, I'd get a 22B, garage that all week and use my v6 LTD as my every day car and bring the 22B out on a weekend provided thew weather was good
No, I already use my v6 LTD as my every day car, so I've just gotta rob a bank to get a 22B...
...and a garage

QUESTION:
If I sit in the passenger seat and look under the glove box, on the left hand side there is a holder for something that looks 'tube-like'.
I have seen on pictures something orange in it, but mine is empty ?
What is supposed to be in there ?
Where's mine gone ??
What's in yours???

I have it documented that mine was found by the Stereo guy when he wired in the alarm and head unit (Car reached these shores brand new).
I got hold of a small maglite type torch and put it in mine. It actually looks quite cool.

LOL...
But unlike Pritt Stick, I doubt it will help with the building of a Blue Peter toilet roll and washing-up bottle spaceship! Although it might be useful to recreate the re-entry to the earths atmosphere scene
