Anyone know the value of a set of 16"Rays off my ver6 v.ltd? You think they're worth keeping?

You still got your old wheels? I'm deliberating whether to sell them or not. Ive got all the original parts from the car, i.e. indicators etc and think it might be worth holding onto them since they're rare as hens teeth. Would fund other things though....

Doug, apparently this is caused by the rollers that bring the window up and down, the compound is too harsh. I have heard of people replacing them.

I know how you feel the same happended to me.

The best way I found was after you've take the screws our (2 or 3), start from the bottom just prising out with your fingers, run them along and you notice the door car comes off very easy.

He is selling it now - Would have bought it myself but change in circumstances means that my search for a type-R is now no more.... Well for a few months anyway...

Raf.
p.s. if any1's interested PM me: it was imported New in 1999 - 1 Owner and Full Subaru Service History - 52k and done 4k since Engine Rebuild by Subaru Dealers.

Default Need therapy.....

Well, where do i start. I was driving out the road from Aberdeen to my folks house when i happened to notice an old E30 series BMW up my ar*e. I could tell he wanted by so dropped back from the van infront to let him go by. From the front it was all classic M3 stuff but as it went by sounding like a nova, it was quite clearly not. Anyway, i was in a situatuion that even if i had dropped down to 2nd or 3rd, he would have still humped me. Yes....ive got a hire car!

Driving up to Inverness to pick up a couple of folks then to Prestwick to catch a flight to Germany tonight and im leaving the scoob at home from now on so went to hire a car. On the internet site i decided to go for a 1.6 golf. Nothing fancy but still a bit of poke. Well when i went to pick it up i ended getting the "..or somthing similar..." option. ARRGGGHHH! A bloody megane!

The golf had a little bit of street cred but this thing is just plain UGLY!!! The back end looks like its been in a fight with a learner bus driver and come off worst! When coming off a roundabout i put the foot down and nothing. For a 1.6 im shocked. All those boys in their corsas fly about everywhere and this thing couldnt beat a couple of kids doing the 3 legged race. I could pull away in 5th in my 2.5, even with a buggerd clutch and still beat it to 60. Its got ABS (tut tut!) so when i touched the brakes i nearly stood it up on its nose and seems to like to wallow round corners making me slide around in the 3 piece seater they call a drivers seat. Also, my left arm is about 2 inches longer now due to the mile long throw on the gearstick.

I must admit though, its got a stereo (woo hoo!) and it doesnt spit/hiss/pop/bang at pedestrians when changing gear up/down.

Anyway, does anyone want to pick my scoob up from Prestwick airport and drive it back to Aberdeen? I trust you all, honest.....

Doug I cant believe you are trying to compare a megane to a Subaru. If you wanted sheer out and out Subaru behaviour why hire the car to start with you already got one you idiot. the money you spent on the hirer car could of gone into another tank of fuel for Playtime LOL.

All I can say about the megane is its very pedestrian friendly. I had an accident in a hired Megane hitting a middle aged gentleman as he tried to run out infront of me. Fortunately for him I was only travelling at 10MPH in Traffic and can only describe it asswept him up onto the bonnet and safely depositing him on the floor to the left. Police called and ambulance and even the guy said it was his fault so I was ok. He broke his collar bone from falling off the bonnet and when looking at the damage to the car disovered there wasn`t any. NOT EVEN A SCRATCH OR DENT. The copper then explained most of the front end of Renaults is flexible plastic for car park dings. You know when women are driving them LOL. i was also getting abour 45 MPG, I agree with the rest they are plain dull and boring and have less life than a very dead thing in a very dead world but. For a road legal shopping trolley they are fantastic.

Mmm..nice! V.clean looking car aswell. Think i might have to sell mine to help fund a set of 18"s. I'll get one wheel for the sale of my 4 though!

Subtyper- Lol! I know but it was either hire a luxury lawn mower or pay for a train ticket and a hotel room...And whats with these key card thingies and fancy push start buttons?
