I'm sure you are happy with the work phone.........I used to be happy with mine until I realised it was frying what little remained of my brain and also allowed the leeches from work to try and get me to do stuff I had no intention of doing........
"sure I'll just drop everything I'm doing on my day off and tell you all about some work related **** I couldn't care less about"
Or maybe not. Work phones suck. so does BIK tax

I upgrade mine every 12mths aswell, keeps the insurance going, hence on my 3rd replacement phone since May !!! this way , yeah i pay extra but can do what i want with my phone and NEVER worry about it letting me down, one call to cust serv. and a new one with me tomoro. IMHO if you arte a reasonably heavy user a more modern phone, will perform better EVERY time. Low user, why do you need a fashoin acessory.
Just my thoughts anyhow !!

I'm happy with my 6310, free calls, free texts and no line rental.
Otherwise known as a work phone.

Couple of things...
[photo] Not if you have bluetooth, d/l to ur PC and send FREE via email
2nd, I upgrade every 12 months, usually get a free phone and a new number (so no more annoying spam texts or weirdos who end up with ur number somehow), oh... and then i sell my 12month old phone SIM FREE, usually for around £50.
So, all in all, it suits me fine to upgrade every 12 months
And actually SAVES me money
But it will cost you at least 50P to send it.................

The only reason I recently got myself a new phone, was that I wanted my own private phone, so I can turn the work one off
plus I have just come back from a drive across Death Valley, and needed a phone that would work in the good old US of A
My work phone is a 6310i, and has been dropped/chucked more times than I care to remember, the phone just keeps on working, never had a dropped call etc (btw work wouldnt enable it for use abroad)
My old 2 5110's & 2 7110's no longer hold any decent charge in the batterries other than that they have all been flawless too (oh and dropped/chucked far too many times) and the screens occasionally fade on them too
I thought about getting a new battery, but in the end decided on a new phone (as it was free on contract)(lighter, not as bullky, and more memory)

I use mine instead of a land line - that way you can always tell whether its worth answering. I have updated along the way to get smaller models that now fit your pocket as opposed to needing a rucksack to carry it in. Although I still only use it for texts and calls - can't see the point in all the extras.
Must agree about the obsession. I went up town a few weeks back and every ****** in the clubs seemed to be constantly texting and taking photos - presumably telling their mates what a good time they were having instead of just having a good time.
There is one big advantage of the newer models - I am now able race vibrating phones across pub bars to the Benny Hill Theme tune!
