Blimey I go away for the weekend skiing and another thread grows

Last time I checked I was at 270 / 243. I've done a few things to the car: SS full system inc. up-pipe and ported headers, HKS mushroom, Samco hoses, STi5 i/c, Dawes set at 1.05bar and Walbro fuel pump. I've just added a FCD and am going to fit 440 injectors and a fuel pressure regulator prior to the remap.

Not too sure what I want to see, I expect to max out the turbo at 1.2bar so I'll be very happy with 300 / 280. I guess it's the torque I really want to see lifted so will get it mapped for this over bhp.

Have a good Crimbo and roll on the remap

I have been told not to drive the car after the injectors are uprated due to possible damage to the engine when boost comes on. Once its remapped no problem, better to be safe than sorry !!!

Thank Neal, I'd wondered about the wisdom of fitting them but figured I could stay off boost on my trip around there (only 1/2 an hour tops) but perhaps I'll get them to fit them plus the FPR! Besides if they fit both it'll happen sooner!

Neal
for info till I can get results scanned in.
MY00 31K on clock ITG air filter and 17" rims. Scooby sport center and back box.
Had down pipe and map done today. 270 BHP with 250 torque, apparently very good as flat across the range when it gets there. Pulls very nicely now. Good guys at PE very friendly.
Thanks to Andy for showing me his type R (he just popped in) and is waiting for an American lump to replace his own.
PS Guys if coming in from M25 there is a dual carridgeway after you turn right at the lights (map doesnt show it very well) but it is a 30 limit, while checking the map looked up to see white hat and reflective jacket JUST setting up , was probably doing 40 so just be carefull in and out of Uxbridge
Cheers all and happy new year

Nice one John, good results with just a few mods.

Any chance of scanning in the maps so we can have a look at b4 and after ?

If you cant post pics then mail me with the scan (not 2 big mind) and I will post them for you.

John ,
i assume your car is 'catless' now ? did you have a PE downpipe fitted? , was just wondering m8 as my car is an MY00 with itg filter & de cat centr/backbox , i'm in 2 minds whether to fit a downpipe or not -regarding MOT .270 a decent figure , looks like i'm gunna have to fit a downpipe(missus gunna luv me!!!).dont want much less bhp to be honest.ps do u run your car on OPTIMAX?

You will see some more horses and a few more Lbf by decatting the downpipe are the cat is very restrictive. Also more noise!!!

Go for a sports cat if you dont want to mess about changing the cat every year for the MOT. The costs will be about the same after you have changed the decat pipe a couple of times for the MOT (unless you can change it yourself).

Cheers

Hi Mate

All the info is on the very first post !

If you want a Tek2/Phase2 ECU remap for a UK car which is between MY97-MY03 (and not a P1) then give PE a bell quoting this group buy and book your car in and save yourself OVER £140 !!!

All remaps must be completed by end of March !

Any other questions then email as my profile.

Cheers

Neal

I also had just the centre section and back box prior to visiting PE. They fitted a down pipe and had to put a new Lambda sensor in which brought the price up by another £100. I have kept the old centre section and the guy reckons that it might/should pass with just the centre section refitted for the MOT.
I do run on Optimax 95% of the time with the odd £5 of SUL from other garages if my bottle goes in finding a shell garage.
As for noise I havent noticed that it is any louder but that could be me going deaf in my old age.
Will post output asap
Cheers

Here is you graph

Showing 250lbf torque and 270BHP at 6141RPM

Cracking flat torque curve that comes in well early and just starts to drop as it reaches 6k revs!!!! Strange how you BHP curve sits at max between 6k and 7k usually see a peak rather than a plateau.

I'm all booked in for the 24th of Jan.
Early start for me it's about a 2 and a half hour drive down there but the getting back should be fun.

I have now booked my my98 in for 19th jan.
The only mods i have are a scoobysport backbox and de-cat centre section with a green air filter.
It will be interesting to see what they can get out of it.
I dont really fancy going down the full de-cat road because of MOTs.
And i cant really afford a sports cat.
I had my car rolling roaded at powerstation last year and they recorded 238bhp and 219lbft which surprised me
