You gotta believe this guy, we closed right in on him via a private eye. Looking for 'Mrs Hunt' or whatever she calls herself.

Once he was cornered he volunteered to pay us the 2 grand odd he owes in 2 installments so that he can take the pressure off his 'wife' who is close to a nervous breakdown.................he says.

P.I. agrees a deal and hands it back to the solicitors............then - NOTHING !! No cheque, no response. He will obviously just say anything to get you out of his way for today.

I'm not giving up. the P.I. is back on the case again and eventually we'll get there.

Any Scoobynetters even thinking about having anything at all to do with Crossroads Garage in Rake by Guildford or close by or Mr or MRS David Hunt go sit in a darkened room until the feeling goes away and then count yourself VERY lucky.

Mrs D Hunt trading as Crossroads Garage in Rake was made bankrupt by our solicitors in early February 2005.

Sort of a pyrrhic victory for APi as it cost me about 2 grand on top of the 2 grand they owed me to get it done.

However, someone had to force the issue and maybe now they are being forced to behave like the rest of us.

The message is stilll the same; if D Hunt is still trading in tyres,somehow, in the Guildford area - stay away. I know a number of the Toyota Celica owners and MR2 owners guys were looking for him too.

I think the SN community owes David a heartfelt pat on the back for this.

I remember Mr Hunt (and his excuses). Luckily, my credit card was never charged for the 4 x F1 GSD3's that I ordered so I didn't lose any money, but I gather that many of you did.

I somehow suspect that he'll surface at some point in the future, tho.

BTW - was there ever any malice in his intentions, or was he just a crap business man?

This guy Hunt is a total snake, he never intended to supply anything or pay anybody [ IN MY OPINION ] . Last I heard he hadn't paid poor old Charles Roberts - the Subaru dealer who originally owned and operated Crossroads - and that was over 1/4 million quid................

well done dave. I was one of the ones that was lucky, well v v v v lucky as it seems and got my credit card refunded, and another thing,thats the last time I use my dodgy credit card with you mate as your not a man to be messed with no seriously I am glad he got what he deserves and should really be in prison (or a glass tub as he will just slide out in between the bars) for something like this imo but no doubt he will escape that as well.

 

Unfortunately, it's his wife [ ex wife she claims ] that has copped it, as he traded using her name, so l had to go for her. He's still walking about, up to his tricks as best l know.

I have her bankruptcy papers now and she appears to have nothing and owes a surprisingly low 10 grand or so. That's all she admits to anyway. AND a car that apparently is untouchable. Don't know what sort of car.

As l suspected l'll get nothing from the bankruptcy proceedings, except a bit of satisfaction of knowing that it is possible to get these people if you persist.

Just a shame I couldn't reach the real culprit.........

If anyone is interested he is currently trading as Liphook Garage Services from premises at the rear of the BP garage on the Ash Road in Aldershot.

I suspect there are lots of people looking for him.

 

Thanks for pointing that out He won't have changed his spots. He hid behind his ' ex wife ' last time and we made her bankrupt. We never got any of the 4 grand he / she owed but we did make life difficult for them for a while.
