I know mate thanks for your point.I was told this aswell by people who have been involved in Subaru`s for years but ive been on scoobynet now long enough not to bite at comments like that, thats why i never replied to it.

The car has done 230 miles now and its just getting better and better it has imprezed me alot more than i thought it would do.

The more i look at it the more i like it

Actually it's farily common knowledge that the design of the Superleggara is weak.

Every single person I know has buckled at least one wheel - I know of 2 that have acually broken the alloy, nothing silly, hit a bump, small pothole etc
I've never heard the likes before!

"Fairly common knowledge"???

Poetic licence?

"every person you know" that have buckled Superlegs or "broken the alloy", must be the worst drivers in history.

ANY alloy will buckle if you kerb it hard enough, and lots will break if you hit a big enough pot hole. That isn't indicative of weak design!! It just means that all these people you refer to must be extremely un-sympathetic and careless when it comes to looking after their car/rims!

Each Superleggera is subject to dozens of stringent tests prior to sale, including x-rays to show weak spots etc.

Any discrepancies result in them being disgarded and re-moulded.

Their rejection rate is one of the highest of any wheel manufacturer, due to their quality control being so high. (Can be as high as 70% due to their fussiness)

I have personally owned Superleggeras for over 2 years (18's then 19's) and have never experienced ANY problems.

Gadget Daz has 19's also on his coilovered bugeye and hasn't buckled or kerbed any!

Your statement is ludicrous and actually pretty hilarious.

As for buying new ones every 6 months, 2 years here and not a problem, and believe me, I've hit the odd pot-hole!

As for.........

ive been on scoobynet now long enough not to bite at comments like that, thats why i never replied to it.
Please don't patronise me, you seasoned pro you!

Now thats comical

Your statement is ludicrous and actually pretty hilarious.
Why - because we don't agree on something? & because I have seen most of the buckled & broken alloys myself?

I find your comments towards my friends & acquantances ludicrous and pretty hilarious seeing as you neither know them or the way they drive

One for example was buckled on a small kerb on a trackday - to the extent we hao use the spare wheel to drive home....

Anyway - no point in talking to the blinkered - working for a motorsport team means i'm in the advantage that I am privvy to information that you may not be reference OZ wheels

C,

You may find my statement regards OZ rejection rates comical, but its true regardless.

I said your statement was ludicrous purley because you have basically said thet EVERY set of SuperL's that you "know" have been weak or faulty! That IS ludicrous.

Ask the guys on this thread what they think of their Superleggeras.

I think its pretty safe to assume that if "everyone" you know has bent their wheels then there is an obvious common theme with regards to what they do to their wheels (and their driving), when no one else seems to have experienced these "weaknesses"!

And btw, I am far from blinkered, I am perfectly well aware that if you hit a big enough pot hole or smack a kerb hard enough, ANY wheel will buckle or break!

But you seem to think that this is a design fault associated only with the Superleggera! LMAO

You are the blinkered one my friend, not me.

Lucky you are the one thats "privvy" to the motorsport secrets!

LOL
