Do you all really think that jonathan palmer or palmer sports are gonna make a comment
Specially now they realise that we (the bedford 28) plus all the other people that have commented on this thread
I dont think so somehow

If he comes on here and apologises we are gonna flame him (IMHO) for doin this in the first place

If he comes on here and says the ban stands we are gonna flame him for bein an idiot (IMHO)

I wish he would comment but i really think now he has lost too much face to even show it

These are my comments and i accept full responsability for them

Oh by the way Sorry simon you have for once (IMHO) done an outstanding job in keepin this thread alive (why cant you do it all the time on contraversial threads?

Because Gossy this must have sucked the life out of the moderators (IMHO)

I disagree with you that Mr. Palmer would lose "face" though.

I don't think any of the B28 need "apologies" and such. We/you are grown men & women FFS !

Just a "come back and just observe our noise limits" would do nicely.

Evil, but the key issue was that the noise limits CHANGED on the day.

We were under the published noise limits and slightly over the reduced limit for the day. 2.5db lower wasn't it I think?

Then we complained and got banned. I want justice (and you know what happens when germans want justice )

Gossy,

I disagree with one point - you said, "if he comes on here and apologises we are gonna flame him (IMHO) for doin this in the first place" I think a lot of people would admire him for having the ***** to come on what he thinks is a hostile forum and do that - when he desn't "need or have" to. Whether he should do is another matter of course.

Evil

B28 is my idea thankyou is kinda catchy eh?

you sure Craig? I thought it came from my comment "So who are the Bedford 28?"

The drive by noise limit was dropped from 87.5db(A) to 85db(A) which is a very significant change, you were 0.5db(A) over the new, lower noise limit and well within the original limits.

I would welcome JP posting here, i would welcome a response to my email too, which i still havnt recieved.

John,

You've answered it yourself - you said Bedford 28, I've called it B28 - bit hipper and more catchy

Plus it sounds like an old WW2 Bomber

No Adam, that was a B29 Superfortress.

B28 is the codenumber for the USA's Thermo nuclear bomb carried on the B52 Bomber. Kind of apropriate really.

John,

Get that off quick or Mr Wallis will have one knocked together quicker than you can say "DIY front mount anyone"

I would have to say drop the B28 at bedford that would go over the 85db noise limit

Craig,

I can prove I used B28 before you did,as suggested decals for my car,but i will graciously allow you to continue to claim credit provided i get a fair share of future royalties.I'm not bitter towards you and i hope this display of maturity from myself will offet my sillyness earlier in the thread.

(disclaimer-deliberate non smiley usage as cunning plan to avoid future apology exclusions)

Oooh, I can see dba consulting lawyers in the background about this I will stick to B** from now on.

Interestingly, Dolby calibration is done at 85 dB/A

I'll get my coat

But we shouldn't actually get this into muppets.

It would be nice if Dr. Palmer could find the time to reply.

Guys

We've left this going long enough, and it has basically turned in to a muppet thread now.

We'll continue to leave this open unless there are any more posts of the jokey / irrelevant nature, at which point it will be locked.

All the best

Simon

PS. Many thanks to the majority for their constructive and mature conduct on this thread.
