£300 or £300k ?
A £300 night is their regular spenditure though - in the same way that a regular night for me is £40.
Not only are the clubs down there stupidly expensive, but they've got the stricktest dress codes I've ever come across - you have to be wearing this seasons clobber, if not you're not getting in. That is, unless you've got some extremely fit bird on your arm.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I thought that when bars charge £5 plus for a drink its cos its one of those posh places where you are meant to smash the glass afterwards into the fireplace.
Unless, of course, its one of those bars where the beer comes with a wink from the barman and a free line of cocaine.

Yeah, pricey beer will always occur in pseudo-trendy 'bars', but I'm talking £5 a pint in NORMAL pubs, i.e. anywhere you care to drop into in any road and it's well over £2 for a half pint bottle.
Give me a pint of bitter at £2 for a WHOLE pint anyday
