May put a post in general? Some of the 400bhp guys probably dont look in here?

To be honest, i never looked in this forum before, only cause Krade told me about the event i put my name down.

Post up on 22b?

How many 400+bhp scoobs are there in the country?

Im sure there will be more interest nearer the time - gives a few people just under 400 to get moving

i think the only problem with Dyna Pack will be time constaints
ie having to jack up all cars remove wheels and so on and if this has a big effect on cost where as RR is just roll on roll off just thinking of this because more cars will be able to run ie reducing costs especaily for us who will have to travel ...chris

You could try sneaking it into Drivetrain ? Most 400+ guys will have a peak in there from time to time
I'm sure Steven will protect us from the big bad mods

Does it need to be so far into the future ? There should be a budding 500+ club by April

Question

lol Andy. Thats the idea (most powerful)You can win the 2litre class and probaly still have more power than me

Chris, i see your point but i'm only getting ideas and Abbey have'nt got back to me for a second reply yet! so the jury's out for now

Lets say they can run 25 cars a day @ £40, who would be interested? just to give me an idea when they reply

Feel free to spam the board with links

Question

maybe to eliminate the concern about slip we can get one of the proven high power cars run up on the rollers and see how that performs prior to the event proper.

Scott,

If you retitle, "Group Buy on useless Scooby tat" or "I got a splinter in my thumb and need a shoulder to cry on" or something like that, it'll be left in general for about 3 months

Moderators - wasn't that what the group led by Billy the Kid was called? "Gonna make ya famous" lol

wouldn't need to do a slip test for John Nobles - as I said, Martin Hadlands Escort ran fine there........

Obviously craig, that aplies where we dont have documented evidence of 600BHP being tried before on the rollers. You mentioned Martin Hadlands 517BHP car being a benchmark for John Nobles, Harvey is well beyond that level of power now so Nobles would need checking as would any other untested RR.

I really don't think it matters where it's held, because I've yet to see a RR that gives consistant accurate results.

Johns idea of having test runs on the different RR's prior to the day, is a good idea. At least it will help to narrow the choices down.

Personally, I think Abbey would be the best choice for this level of power, but I suspect it may be too expensive, and take too long to run each car. At least they are well proven at running BIG bhp cars. It will be interesting to see what they say.

Mark.

Abbey are in Surrey but apparently they have use of another dynapack in Coventry. Still have'nt heard from them so unless they sort theirselves out its either g-force or prosport for you northerners

btw, it was my no. 4 piston that did'nt like over 400bhp

If you make it between Christmas and New Year I will come to either Pro Sport or G- Force providing there is some serious competition confirmed just before the event. Only need to run the power to eclipse the bigger capacity engines if they appear. No point running for the sake of it and will specifically map for the event on this occassion.
Not too happy that G-Fore do the run in third as I would prefer 4th and if this firms up I will confer with Chris Davies just before Xmas when I decide if I am actually running.

Andy: You comming to the dreamers day out?
Have you started on my TD15 as I plan to come up on Monday for a sort out.

Well Money : I know I will have time between Christmas and New Year but I do not know what I will be doing personally or with my car in 5 months time.
Anyway since a year last October I have heard a lot about these big engines, indeed one particular engine was going to be ready for Well Lane IV and Well Lane VI has been and gone, then it was nearly ready for Scooby Shootout but there were lame excuses and this is the end of November and its still nearly ready, so forgive my scepticism.
If you are doing this in April I will have a look in March when I know what I am doing but how many of the people putting their name down now actually know they can turn up and who are the people who have put their name down for several events and even now don`t have engines in their car. Sorry, but I am a genuine sceptic where all of this is concerned.

Andy : Is the TD15 sorted yet ? Monday ? Ring me if you don`t want to post on here.

With you.

Well i think out of the guys who put their names down, definitely most of them will be there. I cant guarantee everyone as i dont know what everyone is doing to their scoobs but it should be good.

My engine is in my car so ill definitely be there! lol

Ill have to speak to Paul about some other mods - big boost and race gas here i come. lol

There are also a couple of guys i know who should have 400bhp by the event by Christmas to so they should definitely be ready for April

If the Scooby is ready which it better be ill be running.

I am probably going to be a low runner with max 450bhp. Prob more around 430bhp.......

Coventry is ideal as my g/f is there but otherwise anywhere! Not fussed!
