up-date then!

Looks like we need to decide on a venue and date.

I can't see why the date can't be as far away as April if it means that it gives everyone enough time to get ready. seems pointless having a shootout to find the country's most powerful scoob if half of them are not there!

Rolling road choice's then!

G-force - good modern set-up - Oxfordshiresh
Power Engineering - maybe a bit dated - Middlesex
Prosport - good modern set-up - stockport

Is there going to be any interest from Mark A , John Banks, Trout????? these cars should be finished by then

So could you cut and copy your name onto the list if you will be ready by March/April time and will have over 400bhp. Also put down your prefered rolling road and once we have got the numbers to enter we can debate where it is nearer the time

I think one thing that we need to sort out is roller slip problems, there will be some serious cars running, and so far I've yet to come across a rolling road that hasn't had any slip problems. Even G-Force "no slip, no excuses" couldn't keep Harvey's car down with relatively little torque, Christ only knows what will happen when they run a car with some serious grunt ?

I would suggest that it would be better to use somewhere that has a Dynapack, this will ensure that there cannnot be any slip, and it also avoids the tyre pressure / tracking / wrong wheelbase issues. I would suggest some place like Abbey Motorsport, they're well accustomed to running cars which dwarf our little Scoobs, they'll just be tickling their dyno

Cheers,

Pat.

Very true Pat, a Dynapack would be a guaranteed accurate for not getting slip

Where are Abbey and how many cars do you think they could run in a day?

So does this mean you will be running then Pat

Before a date can be decided we need definate numbers and a definate venue so that we can book it but i would of thought that a date between late Feb and early April would be likely!

So are anymore up for it? As some kind moderator has moved it to quite a low volume forum could we point people in the right direction if they want to run

At the moment this is just feeling for input so if enough people want it to happen it will but we need interest

Can't see why banzai would'nt want to cover this sort of event too

Pat's idea of using a Dynapack is well worth thinking of too, If there are going to be some serious torque monsters there, slip might be a problem. Will Prosport guarantee against slip, say 'about 600lb/ft'

Wink

What about John Noble in Cheshire?

Didn't have any problems with Martin Hadlands Escort and 517hp so most Scoobs should be ok.

Seems to read lower than most so there'll be less to brag about afterwards though

LOL, spectators welcome

I'm waiting for another e-mail back from Abbey but they have suggested using a dynapack in conventry. I need to know if people are willing to use the dynapack if prices come back at a sensible rate! A dynapack is more accurate so i think its a good choice!

But we still need more interest! I would of thought that we need at least 20 cars and powerful ones at that

Scott
