A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE RAIDERS !!

Excellent write up CW
This has given me the motivation to make a new revised Raid for next year !!!
After missy Cs disapointed tour of scotland the week before with only 3 cars turning up and a 1500 mile round trip for her maybe
#####A NEW VISION#############
A tour of scotland could be on the cards for next year !!
im sure we could arrange something for the 2004 season to go with other things in the pipeline such as
The NIDC (still under wraps)
The scooby Trackday
NBO 2004 (booked )
Ferry across the water (gaining momentum)
East Meets West
( Raid into Northumbria )
Raid across the Border 3
The Fireing Range Experience (was cancelled due to bombs)!!
Rustys Lake District Run 3
Rustys Housewarming/circuit Party
and all the cumbrian and Tyne tees monthly meets
CWs manchester invasion
CW s Tour of the countys He confessed to organising this after 7 pints of the Black stuff !!!
2004 should be a good year !!!

It was never 7 pints lordy, more like 3 actually,
Tour of the counties is still a great idea though, have to look at the logistics in the next few weeks!
I may move up to cumbria now with all you have planned!
See you soon,
chris.

Lordy, I certainly wasn't disappointed with the Scotland drive the previous week ... Far from it... it was absolutely wonderful We even had better weather than the rest of the UK with temps nearing 20 degrees
It was just a real shame that only 3 of us turned up for the Tour d'Ecosse
CharieWhiskey, as usual though, provided some fantastic routes, circling as far north as Tongue and Durness, and then South from Ullapool around the Applecross peninsula. Spectacular, and a great variety of roads We had a great few days.

I spoke to Ian @ Palmers today,
He said that Abbey came in and broke down crying in the office, said it was one of the most embarrassing things he has ever seen, gave him the keys to get shot of him
As for a trackday, Me(STi8 PPP), Steve Sherwin (Taxi) and Gaz Kennedy (Caterham Race Car)are going to elvington on 3rd Jan through Book-a-track, get booked up and come along

Glad it's not just me who thinks the brakes on the standard bugeye are a bit mushy, even with the 3 lightweight co-pilots.
I've gone for the pads, hoses and fluid plus the Godspeed group buy (tart but cheap)......don't tell me Abbey is selling his !! perhaps it was when he was sobbinbg at SP's
My wifey was poorly this morning..anybody else had the Lamb ????

All those photo's and not one of me! Cheers chris!
Great weekend, and thanks to everyone for making us south Manchester guys (and gal!) welcome.
The M6 problem was due to the car wanting to do it all over again so it decided of its own accord to hit the north bound slip rather than the south. (You try and program the damn satnav thing @ 80+)

silly question, but I'd like to put some names to the cars for the group I was in? Aparently we were in the "slow" group that no-one could catch
Cars were the DBM MY00 (mine) a green classic - an STI7 (craft?) the blue STI8 was DPM (from Bury?) and the Lancia Delta and Lagacy from Millom) Also a red classic with white alloys from the start.
Oh - and the girlfriend has got a bit of colour back...

It was me who took you to Hexham and The Shell Station. How did you find the roads up around Slaley, Blanchland and Derwent resevoir ?????
Great write up BTW Look forward to the Video, hope the no plates are censored though !!
I do not think the Stan Palmers Sti8 PPP was any different to mine as I was pulling away from it on the straights but let abby past as I did not want him having his sideways momemt when he was close to me
Cheers

milne555, a big thanks from the smacs lads then, the roads you showed us to were fantastic, and really rounded off the weekend well.
We had a few moments going back, as the roads were very greasy and full of farmers mud! Made for some excellent cornering.
thanks again,
chris.

Well, what a top run out, great roads, great food and great company, enjoyed it more than last year TBH, last year was a bit of a blur Hope I didn't go too quickly for our group, but allegedly I have a reputation of someone who doesn't hang about, so I was only happy to oblige But seriously a great day had by both of us, well worth the effort
I'll get some pics up soon.

messiah,so you want names eh!!!!
sounds fishy.....
the legacy was mine l'm steve forrest or talbot steve
and the integrale is my brothers anthony or jbond01
wouldn't mind the names to all the others in the group myself as it would allways make it easier than saying "matey" or "that guy"
maybe at meets there could be a reference in the car window to the site user name........just a thought.....steve
