Midlife,
if your not sure about taking your car come along and spectate, you will get plenty of passenger rides,
Elvington is very very safe, massive run off areas, it is not a proper circuit like donno or croft with tyres to hit.
Elvington Trackday 3rd Jan
any other questions mail me offline, if you want a chat with either me or steve, ill give you my mobile number

Midlife,
Trackdays are great fun. There is no where in the country that you can drive like this on a public road. Give it a go as this day is fairly cheap and as Phil says, there is tonnes of run off so you are unlikely to hit anything!
It'll give you a chance to work out your new brakes

If you guys are looking for a track day to attend, I have been offered a limited number of spaces at Croft Circuit on Saturday 24th January 2004.
The day is being organised by Triple Six and is being limited to 50 cars. (25 at a time on track)
The cost of the day is 150 quid and instructors will be provided to give instruction on track.
Contact Alan on 01642 246661
Book early to avoid disappointment
Cheers

W ith another <vision> in my head re the
Ferry across the water #######
i am looking for a convoy to the isle of man
this is in its early stages but i have had the first qoute of
The only hotel in Douglas that would have ample car parking for your group would be the 4 Star Hilton Hotel on Central Promenade.
The price for April/May would be £205 per person. This price is based on two adults sharing a Twin/Double Room and includes return Sea Crossing with one Car and accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis. The supplement for one person travelling on his/her own would be £65 extra for the Car and a Single Room Supplement would be £17 per night
what do people think of this ? for a 2 night /3 day break

Thanks for the help re track days
This thread is just about to be swamped by Lordy's next vison" ..new thread needed Lordy
Track days are tricky with the Bugeye, I've got 4 years to run on a 5 year finance ! I thought I'd spectate for a bit and maybe ressurect the MR2 in the garage. I still don't know what to do with it. I spent £3000 to keep it going recently and was thinking of selling it for £1500. However it handles nice and was thinking about using it for thrashing around tracks. I own it outright, it's very sound (70K miles). What it doesn't do is grip ! My Bugeye simply stays stuck to the road
Thanks for the tip on drilled brakes on the Godspeed group buy thread

Just logged onto the bookatrack site to go to Elvington. I thought I'd give it a go as there are no tyre walls to hit.
Just wondered about what boxes to tick....wheels...check beforehand..brakepads...helmet..
Cheers
