Mark Pattison,

That "Steering joint" looks like the inboard CV joint and one of the front driveshafts! The steering rack is to the left of the picture, well away from the turbocharger. The wastegate pipe does seem to get quite close to the rear wishbone mount bush though, maybe this is to get you to spend money on an anti-lift kit!

Nathan.

Not being dubious or anything, but I don't suppose you've got a time sheet or anything have you?
10.248 secs seems unbelievably quick for a stock WRX.
Terminal speed doesn't seem to correlate with the time either.

Stef.

I agree with Stef,

When I took my last car down the Avon Park Raceway I was up against a jap race rep BIKE (over 600cc) that pulled 11 seconds, so 10 seconds is a very quick.

Cool

Eh ? Drag computer ? eh ?

Why would anyone run an external wastegate on a scoob?

That would mean they have changed their turbo and headers... there isnt much room for an external wastegate on scoobs...

I know they control the boost better, etc, blah blah... but I dont think its worth it.

Re:

1/4 mile.......

The fastest 1/4 mile in the world at this point is 11.1 for a Subaru Impreza. The car is excessive as one would expect as set up for a drag car. to get to the 11s one would need a 450HP flow turbo and all the work done.
If you have seen a 10 sec pass , you know it.
