Cossies were sh1te, the only thing quick was the festa, with a high top speed, excellent result for a festa. I think a cossie had a similar/identical time to me, cant remember.
No doubt that was a slow cossie, as is mine a slow scoob!
TOTB3 should be interesting, very interesting. Should give all the hyped cossies AND scoobs, time to get ready. I however, will be standby (again), probably, if accepted.

Mike and cossie, you obviously missed the bit where i said i was a reserve. Only 340bhp, not 500!! FFS
2 cars, thats all!!!, they were both beatn by 2 subarus, and my car beat them both on the handling. Christ, mines even a wagon, and i still got a reasonable time
You booked the AA for the trip home yet?, i hear they are busy on the 1st August 2004

Yes, but traction is EVERYTHING over the quarter...
11.7 & 12.07 from 2wd cars is pretty good .
And the 500bhp one went on to 172mph (on the rev limiter due to 3.9 gearing compared to the normal 3.64).
It may sound like excuses, but we fielded a team made up mainly of reserves due to half the original cars pulling out due to set-up / transmission problems.
We had two cars with clutch failures on the day, but AFAIAA no car went home with the AA .

David,
Gareth's car has none of those things fitted to it, they sit in his bedroom collecting dust...
I think he even sold the GT40 turbo now as well, planning to go with something less radical. When he DOES finally get his s h i t together, he will have a sorted car, but for the moment it is a work in progress...

How would the motors be picked
Would a team of scoobies be sellected by someone in the know?
Or can anyone join in?
Seems the cosie boys have a list of cosi's they want as their team..
I would assume us scooby peeps would pick a team of the best/fastest scoobies?

ask a cossie owner what power do you have, why do they always say 450bhp
#84
hey scooby boys, dont you understand, nothing can beat a cossie!
my car is 1000bhp!!!!
it uses 2 sets of grays, a titanium head gasket and 2 t4 turbos running 120psi!!!!!!
it maybe a g reg but i have spent £30000 on mods so its worth more than any scooby.
i will bring it to TOTB 3 if i can get the new doors and wings on and floor welded up!
oh yeah and my weak actuator sorted out, thinking of going for a -61 and a 50bar MAP sensor.
my car is faster than anything, i raced a f1 car up the road the other day and left it for dead!
have to go now cos i have to get my WHAM records back from my mate the go shopping for some new stone washed jeans and an arron jumper to tuck in to them .
i am also going to get my flat top trimmed........seeya

Invariably it is the Scooby owners who are blinkered, as most of them are 20-something IT dweebs that have never driven a Cossie, yet feel qualified to comment on their attributes / failings .
We are fortunate in being a multi-car family, which include a PPP'd UK 300 and an Escort Cossie, guess which is the most involving / fun to drive (I'll give you a clue, it ain't the one with a famous cartoon dog as a name-sake )?

They are sh!te IMHO. The main problem is they have FORD written on them
Seriously, another Standard, Mild, Medium, Silly and Mental comparison would be good again. See how things have moved on in what is nearly 4 years.
Put my name down for the Medium one, and see if you can get some magazines interested
