i can confirm this scooby kicks "top end" **** aswell....such was his speed on the way back from tsl in nottingham to sheff..he ended up turning round at wakefield to give it time to slow down..good luck with your pilots licence mate..!!!

yes the STi6 Type R V Limited models have a 'motor friendly' long 5th, with a top end of 180mph...

downside though is that its a laggy jump from the low ratio 4th

my mates non V Limited, hits the redline in 5th like a brick wall at 155mph then just bounces if the limiter

 

Pritty much standard uk turbo MY97 touches 160 well mine does anyway.

I have to speak up for the RS, i had a 250 bhp S2 RS a few year back and i can only guess at the top speed as it only has 140 on clock but the neadle nearly broke it was that far off it . the the top speed and power didnt help when the toyota land cruiser plowed into me and destroyed my car

Nice you have to respect anything that can do 180mph a bit of nos will fix your 4th to 5th gear lag problem

Mine will only be pulling 170ish when its back together i want it set up for 0-100mph more than top end if it keeps pace with a 22b i will be happy with that

The best thing about the saph cossie is its very subtle looks, ive got it de-badged so most peeps think its a rep or just a 10 year old taxi lol theres nothing better than blowing the doors off BMW`S etc in what they think is an old GLS or something PMSL love it

Nice of you to take the time out to quote the words i put dan. Coming from sheffield it must have taken you most of the day how to do that well done lol.

I doubt mine could do 160 i said it as a joke my old one managed 150 on clocks but had less power i may get 160 on the clocks but with any car that would not be a true reading. I used to get 160 mph on my old scoob MY97 clocks but was probably more like 145.

Well done though on beating a rs car 1.6 0 - 2.0 1

My cossie just told me it's scared.
