I would suggest you use a 1200 grit and a 2000 grit wet and dry sand paper..otherwise you maybe there a while trying to polish out the scratches...

You'll see how bright they are at night when you see the road signs flashing orange too! As for the blue bulbs, they sent me a set too but I haven't fitted them. It would just attract unwanted attention from the cops. I reckon they're for the side lights though.

W5W's are for the front side lights.

If they are the same as mine, they only look Blue when they are off. They give out a crisp white light when on, much brighter than standard.

There are different types.

The type that are a dark Blue when off will show Blue when on.....not good.

The Super White type that Lawrence LLewelyn would probably describe as having a hint of Blue when off, show only White when on

Just done mine, and it does indeed look the dogs. Wish I'd known about this little tip first though. I ended up having to take out the battery to get to the screws on the passenger side, and still lost one into the engine bay...

And yep, like everyone else it appears, I didn't buy bulbs first and didn't finish until after Halfords shut for the day. Oh well, just going to have to take my existing bulbs into work tomorra and spray them until my new silver ones come from Powerbulbs.com (ordered just now on advice from this thread). Thanks very much to the OP for concise and easy to follow instructions
