3. I have 22% tint on all windows except windscreen with the rear screen 33%. Looks good, took 2 hours to do, cost me £150 with the mobile fitter coming to my house and doing the work on my drive.

He has quoted my mates £170 for a scoob!

thats fine mate, name the company so i can get in touch with them, mobile as well, even better.

if i can get a number of cars that want doing then i can go to the companies with a figure and get a price off of them, but until i know how many are interested it doesnt really help us, so come on people, u want pimp tints or not

 

Why is it when anyone tries to organise anything like this people come along with their so called good advice????
Everybody can see the price and would check to see if its good.
You need a dust free enviroment for this and i would say on your drive isnt.

Just want a pukka job done ... i'd rather pay £300 for a job that I know will always look good than pay smaller amounts for something that will look essexboy nova-ish and start peeling! If ya know what I mean!

 

I am telling you what I had done and that it didn't cost me £300. Sorry for giving my life experience on a chat board where people benefit from advice from others.

My windows do not "Peel Off", the tints are imported from America and are top quality. I would not **** my car in order to save £100! It is as professional as you like and some say better that the more expensive outlets. I'm not sure about the dust free environment but understand where you’re coming from. The guy was in the garage and the film goes on the inside of the car. There is not a grain of **** under the films that I can see and they have been on for 3 years without worries. He had no problems with the drive and fitting them there otherwise he would have said.

He is based in Carshalton Surrey and I will dig his number out for you guys.

 

gavb - chill out mate. I wasn't saying anything about your supplier. We do appreciate your comments, I was just making a passing judgement - if It related to you I would have said. These group buy threads always descend into dialog revolving around prices and my point was that I don't care how much they cost as long as it's a professional job!!

As i said on Sunday, I can get a company to do these for us as well, We would need to go to Ipswich to have them fitted though, They can do 6 cars for us on a Saturday ( Mid october) They do all the tinting for Subaru dealer's across Cambridge, He wanted £250 (cash)for each car, But i'am with you guy's not to bothered regarding the cost just want a good job!!Did you get the no of the Company on Canvey?
What has made you change your mind ( has Deb said that you are allowed? LOL)

As I said above, the RRP is £265 but if i have a number of cars to go to him with I can haggle and get a better deal for us, like i said, he's up for cash job also so i'm sure a gr8 price can be agreed between us.

I will be going to see him on saturday morning with a list of the cars that have been added here, then i'll post up the prices here.

If any1 else has numbers for other companies that can do it cheaper and have seen/had work done, email me their number please.

Mines a new WRX MY03, want all the windows done except the windscreen.

If we are going to use a different company from the one that RB5 is suggesting then I want to see an example of their work beforehand. Seen too many horror jobs regarding tints - at the moment my vote is with RB5 - no offence to anyone else!

Not to sure about that RB5 ... never heard of the company and I've seen that Smart car.

I know window tints that have cost over £600 so something that costs 1/6th of that is a bit dubious. Take off the labour charge and and profit margin, your not left with much for material.

we're gonna get the focus done by the guy in wickford, he does it inside so its dust free, also a work mate is getting his 306 done by him so we can see just how good it is.
