Aaah I can see them now! But the only differences I can see are the roof vent and the wheels!

Must confess I don't know that much about the JDM models - what's the difference between a type-r and a type-r v-limited???

Coming out to play tonight????

Steve

Bryn - what wheels are on your current car? Are they 17's? If they are and you decide to trade it in against the new one do you fancy doing a deal on the wheels? Swap yours for mine plus some cash???

Now then ScoobyNew, the wheels on my car are 17" OZ Super T replicas, they were sold to me as OZ but I later found out only one of them is original, you can't tell unless you scrutinise though and they all have new OZ badges on.

A Type R is a 2 door variant of the STI, with a central driver controlled variable diff-lock, STI blueprinted redtop engine, short shift close ratio gearbox, stiffer supsension and tinted rear windows...phew!

The V-LTD is the same but an anniversary model with added roof vent, there are only 1000 made in any year.

And no, I'm afraid I'm gigging in Walsall tonight...bummer!

I see!! Does it have lightened panels and less interior goodies? Probably a bit of a muppety question here but what is the purpose of the roof vent???

So do you fancy a "wheel deal"???

Wouldn't you know it...just got me loan sorted and then skids on ice coming to work...turns corner and car slowly carries on into kerb.

Can't see any damage and not sure yet if there is any, trying to get it into a MOT place to check the underneath.

Steve, if my car's OK and I do end up trading it on Sunday, the guy has aleady seen the car and knows what's on it.

PUM, glad to hear they're looking good, I'll post back when I know something.

****!

Cool

PFF7s arrived, fitted with 225/40/Z18 GSD3s this morning. Wow so much better than the RE040s, I don't have to hold the steering wheel with my teeth anymore, and the ride is better despite the size increase. See you all Thurs week. D.

Dick - glad you got sorted with the wheels. Where did you get the tyres from in the end? If you don't mind me asking, how much has it cost you all together?

Ads - you getting your clutch and headers done on Monday then?

Have you seen John Felstead's car is for sale? It's a peach. If I had a buyer lined up for mine I'd have it off him right now!!! Bryn - it might be of interest to you mate seeing as you're looking at changing.

So who's actually coming Saturday night apart from me, Pum and Ads???

Looks like there's no damage thank ****! It was the tow ring that connected and the kerb wasn't that high, nothing has bent out of shape and the car still drives without pulling to one side or the other.

Missed the car I was looking at, it went this aft!

Anyways, hope you three have a gud neet, I would come as it's my birthday if I wasn't working, have a couple o'sherberts for me!

PUM, might see you tomorow m8?

I'M A HAPPY CAMPER!!! Gotta say massive big thanks to the Pumster; m8 you have done a fookin brilliant job of my foglamp covers. Guys, he's done a better spray job in his shed than the Autosprayers who did my spoiler did in their unit (Will sort you out with some Mr.Daniels at the next meet Steve).

Also glad to have my car looked at by Big John and verify nothing bent and no damage.

Only miffed that I can't join you in baby head wetting, have a good one and my regards to the little one!

Steve,

£860 for 4 PFF7s, £27.36 Delivery, Tyres from Savoy £512 all in (Black circles quoted £540). Total £1399.36, worth every penny the car feels really smooth and straight, it doesn't jink about under power anymore (at all!), the ride is a lot better, they're quieter, and last but by no means least there's a hell of a lot more grip. Don't know much about other tyres but I think the F1 GSD3s are brilliant. D.
P.S. The rims look GORGEOUS!!!!!

Dick - sounds like it was money well spent mate

Just me and The Pumster to get some alloys sorted now then......!!
