I have met him B4 & he is a decent bloke, just seems to have some completely unjustified track ego. Then again we've all come across outside lane drivers, I'll put it down to that maybe?

But on the other hand, I was on a real mission 2day & many thanks to all the other Scoobs that did the right thing & moved over. Had a few good scraps though. Nice to go as fast as I can & still feel safe (normally).

Just put AP 6 pots on last week, seemed to be the big difference today.

Watched the 15.20 session - absolutely superb. Special thanks to the red MY03 who deserved the round of applause!!

The wife took great interest in the unfortunate damage to the car posted previously and, for once, seems to be leaving well alone. Hope it's fixed soon.

Hello all, just reg’d,

I came along today with 'Edcase' and was sitting with his 'misses' filming you chaps, nice to meet some of you by the way! Was impressive to see and hear a fleet of modded scoobs being ragged around Silverstone, got a very warm reception from the crowd in general. And as for the spec c, only one word that describes that - awesome. Literally everyone was 'oooo-ing' and claping! Very rapid and looked totally at ease with the side-ways action it was receiving from Ian, also got a very enthusiastic round of applause when you came off the track at the end Ian! It’s now top of my lottery win list

Bit gutted to find out that you can’t do passenger laps at Silverstone!

As for the event itself it was a good giggle, but I think like the jokes about fashion police, there should be car modification police, I saw some serious body kit crime today - it’s just plain wrong, and where the hell you gonna put the weekly shop when you entire boot and back seats are full of speakers! Max power really has got a lot to answer for!

Cheers

NICK

PS: Paul thanks again for lift back, very impressed with your STI setup – very rapid!

Did anyone see that one stand with about 5 godawful cars with un-symmetrical bumper "styling". The pinnacle was an escort cab which had us pissing ourselves when it came down past the traffic.

I know it's all about taste etc - and normally even with the lax power ppl you can see what they are trying to achieve etc - but this was just plain LOL!!!

Cheesy,

Was me behind u for quite a bit in my STi7 following dragstrip boy, don't worry I certainly noticed you pulled over like a dream once u cleared the road block. In fact noted the move u pulled on him earlier and did the very same soon afterwards

Also please note the odd flashing lights from me were for milko not u.

All the best.

mynickers,

Blimey didn't realise u r on here already after only 1 day with SN people. Lift was my pleasure, good to have company on the way home, shame we couldn't really get going properly with all that traffic all over the place.

Paul: Yeah Ed posted me a link to your comments about poor track etiquette, and so I thought I would make a comment of appreciation for your chaps display on the track today. As for track etiquette, well you know my thoughts, you can drive as fast as you like in a straight line but it wont make your dick grow, so why not just accept that - pull over and let the faster people past!

Was a shame we didn’t get a few more open runs, but there was enough to see what your car has to offer, second and third gear bought a real smile to my face, was also nice to see the expressions of disappointment and envy on the said max power monkies faces when we screamed past them!

Nick, just go on the game, have some fun doing it and buy a Scooby buddy. U know u need it, there are 30,319 (perhaps -1) SN members who will back me up on that one.

Yep I had a great day same I missed the breifing for the morning Track time. I did manage a couple of steady laps in the Afternoon session though had to be careful as not much insurance cover.

Great to meet up with some old faces from the past

Re: the White WRX yes he did take a few strange lines and fast along straights but come on guys, we wern't born with a Steering wheel in our hands. the guy need to go out in some passenger laps to appreciate with a good driver ( don't count me as one

Had a wicked day, didnt get much chance to watch u guys on the track as we had our on stand, my wife sat and watched u lot flying round and said she loved it, especially the NOISE!!! lolol

shame i missed Ian & the spec-c but i'm sure i heard his tyres squealing and smell the rubber wafting from the track quite a lot

just as we were packing up and leaving there was a white classic parked up with bonnet up, was this the WRX u are all referin to on the track?

Someone said that the engine had gone bang on it?

well whoever he was, i feel sorry for him. last thing u need init?

YEEHAA!! had my 1st `OFF` at Trax lol... it was only a little 1 tho.

Think it was at the tight left into Club corner, passed a dark blue classic and pulled infront of him (sorry m8) and ran out of braking space. Put the front and offside onto the grass infield lol.

Great experience tho the whole session.

Wayne.

Guys,

Every year theres a big track day - and every year theres some complaining along the lines "i got blocked" etc...

Last year there was an lotus and a verbal punch up - with offers to "take it outside"... now one guys calling this "white wrx" owner a c**t

For christ's sake - won't any of you talk to each other at a track day? Why would it have not been possible to have spoken to said white wrx owner explaining your concerns - rather than acting like big jessies when you get back on line to the SN - when all the bravado comes out...

Are there no marshalls who sort this sort of thing out?

Jeez.... i'll make sure to take my handbag with me if i go

Jza

I was gonna have a quiet word, but his car blew up & he didn't make it back to the paddock right after the session.

However, when the same person is causing the same problems time after time to so many people, then a bit of name & shame may get the message through.

Guys

Not one word was said at the stand on Sunday [that I am aware of]

I am more than happy to mediate at the track have word and discuss it like grown ups.

Lets try and sort this on the day in future as it will aid the enjoyment of the event

Phil
