my apologies for registering in this forum with no real intention other than to explain the above but felt that it had to be said, my GF and young child have access to this PC and some of the racist filth that I have deleted is absoulutely uncalled for!!

cars arent really my interest, I only did the corsa for a bit of fun, but it worked quite well, 2L engine and coilovers on all four corners with 15" rims meant that it handled well through the local lanes, I build custom bikes and trikes and as such do experience a lot of crime and damagae to bikes and paintwork, and I know how that sinking feeling hits the bottom of your gut when you realise that some lowlife has just trashed or stolen something that you work so hard for, but luckily for me with friends in the HA and the chopper club things have a knack of reappearing on my doorstep!!

as I have said the guys are on CS and I will try to find the guys mobile number for you and will send it to the poster of this thread.

good luck with the car.

Tony

Agree with you Tony there was no call for racist remarks who ever did that should be ashamed, I have few friends who are Indian/pakistani and they are some of the nices friends I could wish for, Pinning a color & name on someone is very childish.

There's also nothing wrong with taking pride and modifying your car some of those comments were aimed in anger but again childish.

The guys who have your car now I simply refer to as 'toe rags' up to no good and it should be a police matter.

I have to say lads, you've let Scoobynet down on this one. I appreciate that you don't like suspicious activity near your cars, we all agree there. However, it utterly disappoints me that the fotki page, this thread and by the looks of it Tonys inbox are full of bandwagon jumping, needless insults and not to mention plain and simple racism.

I'm disgusted.

What I said was they've let Scoobynet down. I appreciate that it's a large community. I just thought the median point of interlect and common respect was a little higher.

30,000 subscribers and its a small percentage indeed. Do the same math on this thread and the fokti page?

And regarding my board, yes perhaps but users would be jumped upon very quickly by the rest of the community, not to mention staff.

Seems to me that the fotki forum is too easily open to abuse. I just posted a test without any email or ip verification.

I have got a wheel clamp for mine. Had to get it on special order from a caravan shop to fit around the 225 tyres (originally for the EVO).

Takes seconds to fit/remove (with the key !) and highly visible

Dream Weaver,

What's on at Harewood House next weekend? If it's some motorsport event I'd be interested in going.

Damian (Spen)

Its the Harewood Hillclimb, Mark (Blackscooby on here) races his 205 there.

Few of the 205 BBS boys are going I think. Mark is only racing on the Saturday, though it is on Sat and Sun.

Not sure which day (if any) I am going on - not 100% as yet, depends what happens with my Mi.

Exclamation

---------------------------------------------------
I have just been informed by my colleague regarding the matter of my car, which has been totally been BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION.

First and foremost, the car was taken by some of my friends on my behalf in order to collect car parts from Beadale and also a radiator from Leeds/ Bradford airport.

Upon arrival to the airport, the fellow friend, whom can be contacted by his mobile number told them to proceed to an industrial estate. WHERE he would meet them in a SCOOBY.

Therefore, entering upon the estate. They drove around upon to look out for a scooby, where upon they stumbled towards the back of the estate, and spotted a scooby MY99. Whom they thought belonged to the friend with the part, whom they had arranged to meet-up with. However, whilst they phoned him to ask if the black standard scooby belonged to him, they were told that he had just entered the estate and that his SCOOBY was blue with 51 reg.

Unbeknown, to them they had been followed to the back of the estate by a certain gentleman I presume JERRY. Who uttered some words to them. They took little notice as they wanted to meet up with the fellow friend ASAP and thought nothing of it.

Inevitably they drove straight to the front of the estate, where they chatted to the friend for 20mins before commencing their journey back.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

JERRY’S conceived idea to think that they were about to embark upon an attempt to steal or whatever to your fellow friends scooby IS ABSOULTELY WRONG. As you can understand, the reason WHY they stopped at this scooby, was in fact they genuinely thought that it belonged to the friend whom they would collect the car part from.

THEY WERE NOT THERE ON ANY ILLEGITIMATE BUSINESS--JUST TO COLLECT SOME CAR PARTS.

If you had stuck your nose just a bit further, you would have seen them park towards the top of the estate, where they were greeted by a blue 51 scooby.

ALSO, they stayed in the car whilst you made your comments AND DIDNT DRIVE OFF, DUE TO THE FACT OFF YOUR WEAKLY PRESENCE.IT WAS SIMPLY THEY RECIEVED A PHONECALL AT THAT TIME AND WERE
INSTRUCTED AND IT WAS THE WRONG SCOOBY.
---------------------------------------------------

IN FUTURE, JERRY

I suggest you actually find the real story and the real facts before you share your adventure on how a car was spotted possibly loitering near colleague’s car and was up to no good. If there was genuinely, a crime being committed and due to your presence was prevented. I’m sure your friend would have commended your actions.

BUT the truth of matter is, YOU were wrong. WHAT you saw, was completely innocent, But you jumped to conclusions and assumed the worst. My current car was NOT involved in any kind of mishap that you thought.

At the end of the day, this causes great stress upon me, and the previous owner. ALSO creates a bad reflection on my car, involved "in suspicious circumstances" especially the implications of the comments that you made.

BTW,

Lets just think for a moment and think it through, stealing a car in broad daylight in a known car.???!!!! makes no sense,

It is a standard scooby, absolutely no incentive to break in or which ever reasons you implied.

It won’t even go anywhere, with low BHP and I don’t think how those criminals that steal this kind of scooby live it down, when they are caught by the police.

I AM HAPPY TO GIVE FURTHER CONTACT DETAILS OF MY SELF AND THE PEOPLE WHOM MY FREINDS ARRANGED TO COLLECT PARTS FROM IN ORDER TO CLARIFY THIS SITUATION,OR MEET FACE TO FACE TO DISCUSS THIS MATTER FURTHER.

Thank you

SCA

Of course Scoobz, while we've only got Jerry's word that your friends acted suspiciously, we've only got your word that your friends' intentions were honourable, so it's not like we can comment much one way or the other.

Unless you were born yesterday, you will no doubt be aware that Imprezas are highly popular with the thieving fraternity, and in the circumstances Jerry can't be blamed for interpreting what he saw the way he did. If one of your friends saw a couple of chaps apparently casing your pride and joy, what would you rather they do?

If your friends were indeed on legitimate business, maybe you should contact the Police to clear the whole matter up?

Angry

This BBS is not a place for some sort of silly witch-hunt thank you

It would seem to be that there is a GOOD CHANCE that this was all a completely INNOCENT occurance & is being BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION.

NOTHING happened, so there is no point in acting like there did.

Jerry* - well done for keeping an eye out for your mates - next time it might actually be some car thieves or vandals.

Scoobz/tony - sorry for any grief you and your friends have had off some of the members of SN

Now this'll be locked as it is obvious that there is nothing to discuss...
