Nice one!

Quick shifts in 205's are A MUST DO MOD

They are fab (its like rowing a boat otherwise!)

i agree about the rowing boat anology, especially after coming from a scooby.

which is the best one to go for and how easy is it to fit?

Thumbs up

I've got a Griffiths Engineering adjustable one on mine, cost about 45 notes. TBH I've left it how it was set and its superb! Even my local pug specialist whose driven hundreds of 205 GTi's said its the best he's ever tried!

http://www.griff-eng.co.uk/pug.htm

Sorted.

As for fitting - dead easy if you don't have the standard airbox on, just pop off the gear rods, undo a large 21/23 nut and put the q/s on and pop the rods back on! If you have the standard airbox just means you gotta remove that first!

i think i'll just put up with the bouncy speedo.

quick review of the pug after 200 miles and the scooby having been sold.

i think the petrol gauge is broke ive done 220 miles and still nearly half a tank of petrol left!!!~(cost £27 to fill as well)
dont miss the the sccoby much the pug is almost as much fun and you don't have to go anywhere near as fast 50-70mph as opposed to 80-110mph.
gear change is quite poor and think i will have to change to a quick change.
clutch is really heavy, may have to change it soon, i'm going to have a left leg like a power lifter.
a few other small niggles to sort out but i am very happy £15k better off as well and the annual savings in running costs.

any more comments appreciated.
