Back again,
Couldn't agree more about trax, we mainly go because of the drive up in the early morning,
a few R34's a few Supras, scoob's and Evo's all meet up which has become notoriously known as the Mimms Posse, which is a joke!!!
We have a good trip up, not cruising as there are few challenging roads that we use to get in the back way to Silverstone,
Its basicly a social we all have a chat a few of us take the cars down the 0-60 strip, just to see if the latest goodie has improved the time. albeit it's all about mid range.
grab a bite to eat sit on one of the banks over a corner and watch a few loose it.
It is an alright day depending on the company you keep.

cool smileys soulgirl where do you dind them from
Basically, its an image library - but what makes it so ace is that if you see an image you like on the net - you just drag it into your EmotiPad and when posting messages on the internet like here, or in email, you just drag your chosen image into your message. Easy Peasy

oi less of the poo mr i like hairdressers car's
na there is only two skylines that do it for me
1) Andy Barnes R34 (SUMO POWER) pushing around 1200 bhp
2) Rocket Ronnies pushing around the same
I couldn't imagine what it would be like to skip 60 and hit 100 in 6.5 seconds both of them do the quarter in the 9's

Skylines, ugly, ugly cars, so ugly they have stopped making them. Do the owners have to put so many stickers on them?
Driven by well paid IT bods of the playstation gerneration.
For the money you could get a good used Porsche, that'll hold its value better and still be running after the skyline has had a few engine rebuilds.
I have never seen these so called 100o+ bhp cars on track, I wonder why? Undrivable? Unreliable?

Perhaps it would be rude to point out a thread on general showing a virtually standard impreza turbo giving a GT3 clubsport a hard time? clicky link GT3 was ultimately quicker but only by a whisker!
Of course, it is a proper impreza (JDM type RA), not one of those joke UK spec imprezas
According to Iain (who does have a vested interest in reporting this ) the impreza matched the Zonda in dry conditions
And of course it would have been creamed by the boxster

No you see the big problem is that posh (Porsche )drivers carry this stigma about,
i thinks it is something along the lines of Bender Boys and their Botty Bashing antics
So the R34 boys give you guys a wide birth oops sorry hetro sexualy speaking,
Kidding a-side I think looks are a matter of taste, I for one think the R34 is just one of those cars us europeans wish we had designed.
as for the scoob I will complacently admit the 911 turbo does it for me and if i had the cash flow I would have one parked on my drive way in a second, BUT NO blim'n boxster would ever come near my drive. Nope sorry thats never going to happen to me so the next best thing is an evo or scoob for big thrills and everyday use.
Andy Barnes's Skyline attends plenty of meets, oh and as for tuning you Porsche boys are just as guilty, otherwise why do places like G-Force exsist

lets close this thread now and let the cars do the talking on the roads. I for one am looking out for any Porsche boxters out there now to embarass.Might as well add carrera's to that list as i've picked them off to in my scooby and he was trying when i pulled onto the motorway ended up blowing him away.
image doctor. your not that Gary Lucy ****** are you !!!!

LOL, looking at all the bitching and sniping, Straightline performance used to pull my chain but I think many use it as a prop to hide the inadequacies of their Car/ Driving ability, Changing direction and cornering quickly and accurately at speed pulls my chain. Not owning either a Porker or a scoob, I can't offer an informed judgement, but I'd be surprised if the Porker was beaten convincingly in a track scenario by any car as heavy as a scoob.
I think I'll stick to my bikes (far more engaging, far more fun )

don't get me started about bikes LOL all dressing up in leather and all that sweaty on your knee's stuff send instant shivers down my spine.
I cant remember the exact weight figures but the STI is lighter than its nearest Porsche rival, also cornering is improved with greaer traction on a 4 wheel drive chassis, a mildly uprated Scoob will be pushing about 350-370 bhp at the fly a standard WRX STI pushes out around 300bhp
the turbo or GT3 will be competion but not a lot in it as far as tracks are concerend, on the starights your right the scoob will be trounced.
but then any bender pardon the pun can drive in a straight line

It does take far more skill to handle a bike than a car, the 4WD does 'de-skill' the job somewhat

fair play,
your right this is the point although the STI has to be worked it is relatively simple to do this is why without much effort you can look like colin Mcrae and cream a lot of cars that you wouldn't expect the subaru being capable of beating
I know I know bikes are faster and all that and are rewarding when driven properly, a bike cannot corner as quickly as a car, einstien would be on my side at this point two wheels has less traction compared to 4 wheels especialy when all 4 are turning

We get our grip from tyres which wear out in 2000 miles, not 10,000 (this reduces our need for such wide rubber with a high rolling resistance).
As for cornering, I was riding into Gerrards (at Mallory Park 2 weeks ago) @ 95mph and exiting @ 110mph on a stock Kawasaki ZX6R with road rubber. How does this compare to the Scoobs/Mitsubishi's ?. (i am no Barry Sheen BTW)
