Jim555 Take it steady on new tyres dude. Like most things, they need a bit of time to bed in and also for all the transit preservatives and oils to be "worn" away. Most tyres especially performance ones tend to be a tad less grippy when new. Not a problem if you know but not much fun if you don't

I've always looked forward to the rain so I can check out a bit of "slippy", trouble is, I've just replaced the Pirellis with SO3s....
BTW Gridlick Mikey you are dead right about grip when first fitted, this set has taken 150+ miles to feel right. When I first put them on, they felt worse than the pirellis
