corsa boys
Just my point of view.
I dont really care what goes past me I know the limit of my driving and the car and dont wanna lose my licence then not be able to drive my car. The other thing is my car only has a decat exhaust and panel filter and if other car owners/drivers have to spend money on making them go faster or out handle me then good luck to them just wait till they try and sell them you get nothing back for it. The other point is I dont need to spend money to make the Subaru one of the best driving experiences on the road.

And all other supporters of car enthusiasts, WHATEVER they drive! Would you rather the kids spent cash on drugs and hanging round on street corners, or having somthing constructive and to be proud of. We are all car enthusiasts, but some seem to think that because they have a high powered car they can look down on everyone else. Sorry if it seems like I have taken this the wrong way, but there is too much of it on this, and other boards! It pisses me off the way the Nova brigade, and the saxo brigade are treated like crap on here. I know it is a scooby forum, but it has a reputation for being a good board, which is why this 'other marques' section is so popular. just don't look down your noses at people so much!
admit it guys when sometimes you want to gently cruise home
theres always a prat who thinks they are good and wants to race you,
there was once when i was driving 30(no joke) on a 30 road, from suddenly there is a light flashing on my wing mirrors
i have realised there is a car (no idea wot, it was night, i had tinted windows)swerving left and right behind me SO damn close i couldn't see the lights in my rear view mirror.
so what is that all about, "watch out i'm pi55ed"
or "wanna race"
YOU TELL ME!
so sod them kept to my 30 speed limit, approached the redlights,
waited for amber and boom.left them standing,
HA "whos the bitch now!"

had a long drive last week (being going for about 4 hours) and as I was going around a roundabout, this clio went to overtake me by going around the outside - not sure what model (de-badged) but I think it was one of the old 16V's. Anyway, he only just managed to get in front before the turn off (his tyres were squealing like a banshee) and I could tell through his tinted windows that he had a couple of mates in and he was showing off.
Half a mile down the road onto a dual carriageway, I just dropped a cog and left him standing, then slowed to a more sensible speed when the dual carriageway ended. It wasnt long before the clio was right up my **** again, but after the journey I'd had I really couldnt be bothered. I came up behind a very smart looking M3, and it was then that the clio decided to take the both of us into a blind corner.
All I can say is that one of the clio's mate must have been his guardian angel because how he got between the beamer and the oncoming citroen picasso must have been an act of god.
Me and the beamer just let him go - there was another dual carriageway coming up where we both would have hammered him, but this pratt would have just tried another looney manouvre, and god knows many cars he would have cleaned out.
