Me too! Good idea to get the date down now, plenty of time to plan.
Looking forward to it already....
BTW, J4CK5ON, I DID NOT put HB up to that cold blooded attack on the cleanliness of you motor , honest.
He just beat me to it!

Count us in, can I park with the popular boys this time. How about right at one end?
If any of you guys fancy a midweek mini run to the dales get in touch. I'm free Tu/Wed/Th every week.
Ooh, almost forgot, we'll raid the buffet too. Is it Atkins approved ? LOL.

can I come Too again - thanks in anticipation
corradoboy - we'll park together - smack in the middle.
(out of interest - how much is a corrado like yours worth - wifes always loved them - and it might be a way I can appease her when the cossies gone and I go to Uni.)
see you on the 27th - maybe I can cadge a ride out of one the high power ones - eg. compare to the cossie.
oh - by the way - I see J4CKS50N's car virtually every day - and its usually spotless.
cough

DAC, being that mine's a lowly 16V it's prob only worth about £2.5k tops (£2k realistic ). If you want a real Corrado then look at a VR6, you should be able to find a Storm with low miles for around the £8k mark. See below for one I plucked out of Autotrader.
1995 VOLKSWAGEN CORRADO 2.9 VR6 Storm 3dr Coupe
Coupe, Blue. Leather seats, Sunroof, ABS, Alloy wheels, Anti theft system, CD. Completely standard. VGC. 64000 miles. £7995 or 07855394070.
Go on, do it. I wish I'd got a storm years ago. Bought a bloody house instead. Still, the house is worth a little more than £8k now

corradoboy - the 16v is what she would get. LOL
No - the idea really is to save money, pay some bills off, before I go studying - so VR6 G60 would be out - to be totally honest I'd prefer to keep the cossie.
but she would need a car of some sort - so a 16V might be the one.
(alternatively its going to be a KA)its just that she's always pestered me to get a corrado.
cheers -
I will have a look round once the cossies gone.
(thats if I don't keep putting prospective buyers off by accident)

DAC - Tread carefully, there's a lot of abused out there. Even mine would have been a bad buy 2 years ago, now it has new engine, clutch, recon 'box, new springs/dampers/topmounts/bushes/tierods/wishbones/bearings/discs/pads/rear calipers/hbrake cables/radiator/thermostat/thermoswitch and, ooh I forget what else. Oh yeah, 17" wheels and Cat 1 alarm. You're right to stay clear of G60's, even though they do fall into the 16V price bracket. The supercharger is unreliable and needs a rebuild every 30k without fail. Miss it at your peril. The 16V is faster 0-60 anyway (8 vs 8.7), although it loses out on top end by 4mph (so what!) and the charger gives a little more mid range grunt for o/ting. Make sure the wing works (£300) and all panels are straight & true (v.pricey).
Don't know when you're thinking of but get in touch, mine might be for sale if the money is ready for the Scoob by then.

Seems like the evening went down very well. I am gutted I couldn't make it that evening.
I actually got out of work early than expect and drove past the pub at around 9:30ish, drove very slowly past the pub trying to spot the cars, couldn't see a damn thing. Having seen the pictures, I now know why....
I thought about calling in, but then I was in shirt and tie (felt over dressed), and the thought of walking into a pub and asking groups of lads if they are the owners of those sexy Scoobs outside didn't seem like a good idea at the time, even though I bet some of you either had SWRT hats, jackets or shirts...
27th August looks good for me, I am on lates the week after that so I will definately be turning out next time round. And if you're looking for a number for the buffet, then stick my name down too....
Cheers chaps, and gals if there were any??

Hi Simon,
Glad you told work that you have an important Scooby meet that week, and that you MUST be on earlys for the duration
Not sure about the surveillance techniques Mate - a few more yards and you'd have seen us all.....
Anyway, nipping to rattle off the few remaining shots on that roll of 'traditional' film. Then it's down to Arcade Cameras for the results.....
Cheers, HB.

Can't make it up to Elvington tomorrow, but as for next Sunday, oh boy I am there....
As I am taking my younger brother and a few of his mates up as well, I will be making my way up straight from Ferrybridge area, not Huddersfield... A mate of mine is joining the convoy (2 cars in total currently) in his hair dresser car (Audi TT) But it is a fast one.... Anyone who was at the last rolling road session at Well Lane organised by Rich Wild may remember it, the red one...
Cheers

Not sure about it being a weekly event either....
They do have something on there most weekends whether it be cars or bikes or both....
No, next Sunday is the big one, Ten Of The Best II. Tickets can be ordered for that event on www.totb.com (I think that is right)..
Possible ticket on entry as well, but expect there to be loads of spectators there for this one. Sky TV will be showing some of this day on there Motor Sport programme.....
So might get on telly.....
